Man lies in water-logged pothole on road in Varanasi, demands authorities to repair it | Watch
The video of the man’s protest was also shared by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav who took a dig at Narendra Modi government saying that Varanasi hasn’t yet developed to become Kyoto.

A video has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi where a man reported to be a former councilor can be seen protesting against the authorities as he lies in a water-logged pothole on a busy road. It is reported that the former councilor staged his protest in order to seek intervention by the authorities.
In the video, a man can be seen lying on a water-logged pothole which is in the middle of a traffic thronged road. The man can be posing and protesting as many bikes, cars and buses speed past the protesting man.
The video also shows many users looking at the man as he protests against the authorities for their negligence to fill the pothole.

Yadav in his tweet also wrote that people from Delhi and Lucknow also come to the pothole to get their pictures clicked, implying that the pothole has now become a tourist spot.

After the Akhilesh Yadav’s Tweet, BJP leader Tajinder Singh Sran also chimed in and questioned the Samajwadi Party chief by writing and urging him to stop such stunt and urged him to do constructive politics. Sran also questioned how his party has socialist in its name yet there are no socialist practices followed by the Yadav.
Authorities response
After the video went viral, the District Magistrate took to Twitter to inform the situation on the matter. As per the DM’s tweet, he said that there is a leakage in the water supply line at Nayi Sadak area owing to which the repair work couldn’t be done. The DM also wrote that Jalkal and Jal Nigam staff have been directed for the job and assured that the pothole will be filled in a day.

Man seeking job in Indian Army attempts to breach PM Modi’s security in Varanasi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security was breached in Varanasi after a BJP worker jumped in front of PM Modi’s convoy asking for a job in Indian Army.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security was breached in Varanasi. An Indian Army aspirant jumped in front of PM Modi’s convoy, asking for a job in defence. Later, he was held by the police.
After laying the foundation stone of the International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, PM Modi with CM Yogi attended the evening musical show at Rudraksh International Cooperation and Convention Centre.
From there, PM Modi was travelling to Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport, when the incident took place. A man who tried to breach the Prime Minister’s security has been identified as Krishna Kumar, who hails from Ghazipur, allegedly a BJP worker. He is the son of a senior BJP worker Bharat Kumar.
According to reports, Kumar was frustrated as he failed the medical test after clearing the physical test. Kumar tried many times in the past to get recruited into the Indian Army. He also appealed to many people for help but everything failed.
After all this, he decided to meet the Prime Minister in Varanasi regarding his job in Indian Army. Krishna Kumar was waiting for the PM’s convoy to pass at least for an hour, the moment Modi’s convoy crossed beside Kumar, he jumped carrying a file with him asking for a job in Indian Army.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 23 laid the foundation stone of the International Cricket Stadium in Varanasi’s Ganjari, Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present for the occasion in Varanasi.
Varanasi, PM Modi’s parliamentary constituency also witnessed big names from the cricket fraternity on the occasion. The names include Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Madan Lal, Gundappa Viswanath, and Gopal Sharma.
PM Modi also inaugurated 16 Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya built across Uttar Pradesh, during the programme.
The Varanasi International Cricket Stadium is a step towards realising PM Modi’s vision to develop a modern and world-class sports infrastructure.

Vande Bharat: PM Modi to inaugurate 9 new trains in 11 states today
Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of the railways, will also attend the inaugural ceremony. The 11 states will have faster connectivity thanks to these trains.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today, nine Vande Bharat trains that connect tourist and religious sites in 11 states. There will be elections in three of the following states: Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Gujarat.
The trains will be signalled off by the prime minister via video conference. Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of the railways, will also attend the inaugural ceremony. The 11 states will have faster connectivity thanks to these trains.
These trains are a step towards achieving the prime minister’s aim of enhancing connectivity throughout the nation and offering top-notch amenities to rail passengers, according to a statement from the government.
The Vande Bharat trains will be the fastest train along the routes of their operation, it continued, and will help save the passengers significant time.
Compared to the fastest train as of now on the routes, Vande Bharat trains will cut travel time between destinations by three hours in the Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri and Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram routes; more than two and a half hours for Hyderabad-Bengaluru; more than two hours for Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai; about one hour for Ranchi-Howrah, Patna-Howrah and Jamnagar-Ahmedabad; about half an hour for between Udaipur and Jaipur.
The important religious towns of Puri and Madurai would be connected by the trains Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri and Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai.
The Renigunta route will be used by the Vijayawada-Chennai Vande Bharat train, which would offer connectivity to Tirupati.
As the festival season approaches, it is anticipated that the new trains will offer a comfortable travel experience.
Before this fiscal year concludes the following year, Indian Railways also intends to introduce a sleeper version of the Vande Bharat and Vande Metro. According to railway authorities, the non-air conditioned push-pull variant of the semi-high speed train series, which will be introduced in October 2024, would feature 22 coaches and a locomotive.
