Agnipath protests: Children weep in school bus stuck in Bihar’s Darbhanga
A school bus with children crying out of fear gets stuck amid the protest. The video also shows teachers trying to pacify the children.

A school bus carrying children got stuck in a road blockade by Agnipath protesters in Darbhanga, Bihar. The Army job seekers are protesting against the Centre’s newly introduced Agnipath scheme all over the country and as the protest and touch down the third day, the visuals coming from all over the country is horrifying and scary.
While several trains have been set on fire this morning, a video shared by ANI on Twitter shows a school bus with children crying out of fear gets stuck amid the protest. The video shows teachers trying to pacify the children but the scenario does not seem to help. However, much later, the bus managed to escape the place with the help of the regional police.
The situation in Bihar is getting out of hand. The violent protests all over the state is clearly visible now. Where this morning Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that the Agnipath scheme is a golden opportunity for youngsters to join Army, on the other hand, the Army job seekers are protesting against recruiting policy.
Protesters have even set the second BJP office on fire in Madhepura. Later in the day another BJP office in Nawada was set ablaze. And not just Bihar but other BJP ruling states like, UP, Haryana and MP have also protested against Agnipath scheme.
For the unversed, protesters are demanding a rollback of the short-term recruitment scheme. Youngsters believe that the four-year tenure is too short and they even fear over their job security and pension benefits.
The Centre unveiled the Agnipath scheme on Tuesday, which states that most soldiers will have to leave service in just four years. Annually, around 45,000 to 50,000 aspirants will be recruited but only 25 per cent of them will be allowed to continue their service for another 15 years under permanent commission.

A small airplane, Tara Air 9 NAET has lost contact in Nepal. The plane took off on Sunday morning. Officials said that the plane was only on a 15-minute flight and has 22 passengers on board.

A small airplane, Tara Air 9 NAET has lost contact in Nepal. The plane took off on Sunday morning. According to airport officials, Tara Air’s double engine aircraft took off from Pokhara to Jomsom this morning. The last contact with the plane was made at 9.55 am. Officials said that the plane was only on a 15-minute flight and has 22 passengers on board. Tara Air Company mainly flies Twin Otter aircraft manufactured in Canada.
4 Indians and 3 Japanese nationals aboard
According to local media in Nepal, 4 Indians and 3 Japanese nationals are also on board the missing plane. All the rest were Nepalese nationals and the plane has a total of 22 passengers including the crew. According to the reports, officials are constantly trying to establish contact.
Jomsom is a popular route for foreign climbers who trek on the mountainous areas. A large number of Indian and Nepalese pilgrims visit the revered Muktinath temple here.
Army helicopter in search operation
Nepali Army spokesman Narayan Silwal said that a Mi-17 helicopter of the Nepalese Army has recently left for Lete, Mustang. At the same time, according to Fadindra Mani Pokhrel, spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Nepal, the ministry has also deployed two private helicopters from Mustang and Pokhara to search for the missing aircraft.
