Smoking is extremely damaging to one’s health. Cigarette smoking is a personal choice and a form of pleasure and delight for many people. You should be aware that smoking prevents the body from absorbing key nutrients such as calcium, vitamin C, and vitamin D. Furthermore, smoking cigarettes raises the risk of colon and lung cancer.

Every year on May 31, the World Health Organization (WHO) and global partners celebrate World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) to spread awareness about the ill effects of smoking. Its objective is to create awareness among people using tobacco in any form about the harmful and harmful effects of tobacco use and the prevention of secondhand smoke exposure.

Smoking, which is common in today’s younger generation, is injurious to health. Despite knowing this, people are seen smoking. At the same time, some people want to leave this bad addiction, but they fail to succeed because they do not know what measures are necessary to stop smoking. Keeping this in mind, we have compiled some of the ways in which we will tell you about the ways and means to quit the habit of tobacco and smoking.

Ask yourself before buying a cigarette

You just have to take a few steps on the way to quit smoking and you will see the result in front of yourself. Everyone is aware of the fact that cigarettes are injurious to health. Every time you smoke, you collect lots of tar in your lungs. Tobacco smoking is linked to heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, lung disease, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Smoking also raises the risk of TB, some eye illnesses, and immune system issues such as rheumatoid arthritis.

Also, skin becomes dull and does not glow when you smoke a lot.

71st Miss World contestants visit Raj Ghat and pay respects to Mahatma Gandhi

The 71st Miss World will take place between February 18 and March 9 which will unfold across various venues, including the Bharat Manadapam in New Delhi. 120 contestants from countries around the world will participate in various competitions and charitable initiatives, serving as ambassadors of change.

Miss World contestants, accompanied by Julia Morley, chairman and CEO of the Miss world Organisation, visited the Raj Ghat, also known as the Gandhi memorial, on Monday, where they paid their respects to Mahatma Gandhi. The 71st Miss World participants also visited the Gandhi Museum.

The 71st Miss World will take place between February 18 and March 9 which will unfold across various venues, including the Bharat Manadapam in New Delhi. 120 contestants from countries around the world will participate in various competitions and charitable initiatives, serving as ambassadors of change.

Julia Morley, chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organisation said in a statement that her love of India is no secret and having the 71st Miss World Festival in this country means a lot to her. She thanked Jamil Saidi for his herculean efforts to make the return of the event to India a reality. She said the Miss World Organization has assembled the best team for the 71st edition.

The 71st Miss World will end with a dazzling grand finale at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. India last hosted the international pageant in 1996. Manushi Chhillar was the most recent Indian to win the pageant, having bagged the crown in 2017. Previously, Reita Faria Powell, Aishwarya Rai, Diana Hayden, Yukta Mookhey, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas have also won the competition.

India is currently hosting Miss World 2024 in Delhi and Mumbai after 28 years. The competition will begin on  Februray 18, with the grand finale scheduled  on March 9, the 71st Miss World Pageant will feature 120 contestants from 120 countries and territories, which includes India and will feature various competitions and charitable initiatives. The 21-day fashion and beauty event will feature a variety of events that will empower young women as change agents and future leaders.

This day marks the birthday of the great Maratha Leader Shivaji I. He established Hindavi Swarajya. The warrior King Shivaji I was born at the Shivneri fort on the third day of the Krishna Paksha of the Phalgun month in the year 1551 of the Shalivahan Shaka. Chhatrapathi Shivaji, a great warrior King and was the founder of the Maratha Empire in the 17th century.

He was born on Februray 19, 1630. He is remembered for his valour, military tactics, and administrative skills. He established a sovereign Maratha Kingdom in the face of the Mughal and Adil Shahi Sultanate empire. The celebration of Chhatrapathi Shivaji Jayanti marks as a reminder of the impact of the Maratha Empire on Indian society and culture.

Emperor Shivaji’s principles of leadership, courage and social justice continue to inspire generations of Indians. On Chhatrapathi Shivaji Jayanti various events and processions are organised which include cultural programs, exhibitions and seminars, where people gather to pay homage to his legacy and learn about his contribution to Indian history. This year India is celebrating the 394th birth anniversary of the great Maratha ruler. The first celebrations of this festival started with the Maratha ruler Mahatma Phule in 1870 in Pune. These celebrations were taken forward by Bal Gangadhar Tilak.

Google Doodle celebrates Valentine’s Day 2024 with a special scientific twist. This year’s takes the user into the world of chemistry and uncover his perfect elemental match. Google Doodle says there is no stronger bond than love, especially when the chemistry is just right.

The interactive Doodle has a Chemistry Cu Pd where the user can take element personality quiz and understand which element one’ personality can relate to the most. It works similarly to the dating apps in which the user can select your ideal match element by swiping right. The user has a choice between Chlorine, Bromine, Hydrogen, Iodine, Nitrogen etc.

The origin of this day can be traced back to the story of St Valentine who is remembered for his selfless acts of help for couples. It is said St Valentine was sentenced to imprisonment and beheaded by Emperor Claudius II for solemnizing the marriage of couples secretely.

On the day of his execution, St Valentine sent a note to Julia, the blind daughter of the jailer which said Your Valentine. Since then, Valentine’s Day is celebrated every year on February 14. This day appreciates love in every form people to realize the most beautiful connection in our lives.

Valentine’s Day gives the message of that love is the most beautiful feeling and one is should value their close relationships. This day tells the people to remember their loved ones as they are the biggest strength in their lives.
