As the nation will witness the 74th Republic Day on Thursday, the day will be celebrated by many in high patriotic spirits. The Republic Day celebrated to mark the implementation of the Constitution of India in the country. The day is marked as a national holiday and this year, the ceremonious day will be observed on Thursday. In one of the many Republic day celebrations, the ritual of President of India to unfurl the national flag at the Kartavya Path will also take place.

Among the many iconic events that take place on Republic day celebration, the parade is watched and witnessed by many as well. This year, the Republic Day celebrations will also include drone shows, band march and many other enthralling events. The chief guest who will come to witness celebrations this year, is Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi. The Egyptian President will watch the Republic day ceremonies alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The spirit of Republic Day is not only limited to the celebrations in Delhi but the day also transgresses to TV channels and OTT platforms pushing forward films which instill the essence of patriotism in the country.

The film inspired by the true events that transpired during the Kargil War is just the perfect and inspiring watch for one to get an insight on the type of sacrifices the soldiers made for the country to bloom. The film is based on the life of martyred Kargil War hero Vikram Batra. The film stars Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani in leading roles. One can watch the film on OTT platform Prime Videos.

Rang De Basanti

The 2006 Amir Khan starrer is an enthralling watch that reminds the people of the sacrifices that were made by freedom fighters to dethrone the Britishers during the colonial era. The film stars Aamir Khan, Siddharth, R Madhavan, Atul Kulkarni, Soha Ali Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kapoor in the leading roles. The film can be streamed on OTT platform Netflix.

Raazi

The Alia Bhatt starrer is one of the most riveting films which follow the journey of an Indian spy who marries into a Pakistani Family in order to act as a spy agent. The film is based on a novel called Calling Sehmat, which is based on a true story. The film can be streamed on Prime Videos.

Sardar Udham

The Vicky Kaushal starrer is one of the much loved films for the Vicky Kaushal fans as it follows the true story of a freedom fighter Udham Singh from Punjab who assassinated Michael O Dwyer in London following the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar. Vicky Kaushal’s acting prowess throughout the film has stolen the show and claimed the hearts of many. The film can be streamed on Prime Videos.

Chak De India

On a lighter note, if you want to watch something that is not too tolling and yet feel patriotic, this Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chak De India is just the right choice. The 2007 film has one of the most iconic roles ever played by Shah Rukh Khan as the movie follows the journey of a coach leading his Indian Hockey Women’s team to victory in the world cup. Diljit Dosanjh’s Satluj removed from ZEE5 India two days after release

Diljit Dosanjh’s Satluj, released on ZEE5 on July 3, has been taken down in India. The streaming platform says it is exploring appropriate avenues to restore the film.

Diljit Dosanjh’s film Satluj, which premiered on ZEE5 on July 3, has been removed from the streaming platform in India just two days after its release. The platform confirmed the development through an official statement, saying the film will remain unavailable in the country until further notice.

Originally titled Punjab 95, the film had been awaiting certification for several years after it was submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in 2022. It was eventually released on ZEE5 under the title Satluj.

ZEE5 thanks viewers for support

In its statement, ZEE5 expressed gratitude to viewers for the response the film received after its release.

The platform said the audience’s support and appreciation had been overwhelming and thanked subscribers who watched and backed the film.

ZEE5 also reiterated its confidence in the project, stating that it continues to support Satluj and the creative vision behind it. According to the platform, it believes meaningful storytelling can create a lasting impact and remains committed to backing authentic narratives.

Film unavailable in India until further notice

The streaming service confirmed that Satluj has been withdrawn from its Indian catalogue for the time being.

In its statement, ZEE5 said it is exploring all appropriate avenues through due process to make the film available again at the earliest opportunity. The platform added that it remains committed to supporting creators and stories made with artistic integrity and purpose.

While the film is currently unavailable to viewers in India, ZEE5 has not specified when it is expected to return to the platform.

Oscar-winning director Chris Nolan’s highly anticipated epic The Odyssey will have its world premiere on July 17 , 2026, taking audiences on an unforgettable ride into Homer’s timeless Greek epic.

The film tells the tale of the difficult journey King Odysseus undertook to return home after the Trojan War and is replete wiht mythical adventures and divine intervention in the seas.

Matt Damon plays Odysseus with Tom Holland as Telemachus and Anne Hathaway as Penelope. The movie also stars Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron among others. Nyong’o’s casting as Helen of Troy has had social media in ferment the moment her casting was announced.

Said to have been produced with a budget of around $250 million, The Odyssey is Nolans’s most expensive film so far. It has also managed to create history as it has become the first feature film ever to be shot using full-frame IMAX film cameras.

The film represents Nolan’s comeback to history and myth making after the success of his previous offering, Oppenheimer. Odyssey is expected to set the bar even higher for epic movies through the combination of classic literature and modern technology.

The movie has been highly anticipated and has become one of the highly anticipated films of 2026 because of its director, cast, and large production scope. The Odyssey will also be introducing the Greek epic to a new generation.
