Uttar Pradesh Assembly witnessed too much drama on Wednesday as there was a heated exchange of words between BJP and Samajwadi Party members of Wednesday as the remarks of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya made Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav react in a furious way. Amidst this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stepped in the barb and said that indecent words and threats should not be made part of the proceedings as it would set a wrong precedent.

What happened between Keshav Prasad Maurya and Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday?

On Wednesday, Keshav Prasad Maurya said that if Akhilesh Yadav’s work was of any good, people would have not cleaned up the Samajwadi Party’s mess in the election. He also said that the leader of the opposition does not get tired of counting the achievements of his fice-year tenure. Maurya even said that which disease does he have? If there is any, then he would say that he shold get tested.

He then went on to say that that Akhilesh Yadav should get proper treatment from wherever he wants and should get rid of the disease of pasting a sticker of the Samajwadi Party on every scheme. Maurya further said that he has been out of power for five years and now he is out again for five more years, and his number will not come for the next 25 years.

Agitated by these comments, Akhilesh Yadav led an attack on the opposition and after this Yogi Adityanath stepped in and said that using indecent words against a respected leader is not right. I would very politely say to the leader of the opposition that you should not have been so agitated. The question is not of Saifai. The development work that we are getting done or the development work that might have been done during your government was our duty being in the government. The government has the right to declare its achievements.
