Jahangirpuri violence: Delhi Police arrests another key accused from West Bengal

Clashes broke out between two communities during a Hanuman Jayanti procession in Jahangirpuri On April 16, leaving 8 police personnel and a local resident injured. So far, nearly 30 people, including two juveniles, have been held by the Delhi police in the Jahangirpuri Violence case.

Delhi Police Crime Branch on Thursday arrested another accused of Jahangirpuri violence from West Bengal, a report said. The accused has been identified as Farid alias Neetu, the police said.

The accused had fled from the spot after the riots. Since then, he had been changing his locations and moving across West Bengal, another report said.

The report also said Farid was very actively involved in the communal riots and played a major role. Several teams of Delhi Police who have been deployed in West Bengal arrested him on Thursday from his aunt’s house in Tamluk village, the report said. He is being brought to New Delhi via flight today, the police informed the media.

Farid alias Neetu has many criminal cases registered against him. He has been booked for robbery, snatching, burglary and under the Arms Act. Since 2010 he is a repeat offender in the Jahangirpuri area, the report said.

Like Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, houses have been demolished in Delhi in the name of encroachment after the violence.

A video from UP’s Muzaffarnagar has surfaced where the JCB bulldozer had arrived to carry out the demolition process of a hundred-year-old bridge which was built over a river. However, in the process of demolition, the portion of the bridge fell apart leading to a domino effect that led to the whole bridge collapsing into the river.

In the video, the JCB bulldozer machine can be seen proceeding with the demolition of the bridge by hammering down one part of the bridge. However, after the first part of the bridge collapsed, it transpired into a domino effect which led to other parts of the bridge collapsing as well. When the whole bridge collapsed, it took with it the JCB bulldozer.

A man can also be seen making it out alive out of the collapsing bridge. As for the driver of the JCB bulldozer, it was according to reports that the driver was rescued subsequently after the chaos escalated.

The video of the collapsing bridge has been making rounds on the internet as many people took a facetious and hilarious spin on the whole incident as one user came forward and sarcastically wrote that these are the skilled workers of Uttar Pradesh whereas another user kept the sarcastic energy going and posted a picture of a man sitting on a branch and axing it, implying both the situations corresponds with each other.

A video of a similar nature had gone viral in August, where, due to heavy flooding in the area, a railway bridge collapsed and fell into the river. In the video, strong waves of the river can be seen taking away the collapsed bridge. However, it was reported that no deaths or injuries had resulted after the collapse. The incident occurred in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra region.

Another user added to the conversation by stating that the teacher and the students are exuberating a type of energy that is matchless and added that the collaboration of the students and teacher in the video is remarkable.

Another video that corresponds with the unique and remarkable way of teaching had previously surfaced on the internet, where a teacher, in order to make the students learn Hindi grammar, drew out a singing performance by the kids where they sang about what are pronouns, verbs, and adjectives in Hindi grammar.

The video was loved and appreciated by a lot of people on the internet as many came forward to appreciate the teaching style while others lamented why they were not exposed to a similar type of teacher back in their day.

A new political crisis emerged in Rajasthan when 82 Congress MLAs submitted their resignation to assembly speaker CP Joshi on Sunday night. All MLAs are loyalist to the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Reports said that they have been opposing the appointment of a new Rajasthan Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, Ashok Gehlot said that nothing was in his hands. He has held various constitutional posts for 40 years and the new generation should get a chance.

Earlier, He claimed that this was just a rumour. He said that the media were creating rumours about him. He further said that in this country the media has become the kingmaker. Unfortunately, the media did not know the ground reality. The media of Delhi did not know at all, they run such campaigns that the role of the kingmaker.

Ashok Gehlot said that it was created by the media from the very beginning that Ashok Gehlot did not want to leave the post of Chief Minister of Rajasthan, while this thing has never been in his mind. He has already told the high command on August 9 that it was very important to Congress to win the next Rajasthan elections.
