He added that they have been appealing to the government to find a solution to the sensitive situation which has emerged in Manipur. He mentioned that it is not law and order but there is communal violence there and it is affecting its neighbouring states too. The Congress leaders claimed that the government has not fulfilled its responsibility.
According to reports, the delegation will also meet the Governor of Manipur, Anusuiya Uikey, on Sunday. Congress MP Naseer Hussain asserted that the MPs wish to discuss their findings in the Parliament. Nonetheless, if the discussion is not allowed in Parliament, then the MPs will chair a press conference. Furthermore, the Congress MP also slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating that the northeastern state has witnessed severe violence, rapes of women and ethnic cleansing but the prime minister does not have time for the state. As far as reports are concerned, the opposition has been demanding a statement from the Prime Minister on the situation in Manipur.
