Congress leader Rahul Gandhi while speaking at an event in San Francisco, USA today, taking a swipe at the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) said the government tried to stop his Bharat Jodo Yatra and threatening people misuing agencies.

The Congress leader is on a 10-day tour to the US, who arrived in  San Francisco on Tuesday morning.

Gandhi said the Central government tried all the possible manners to stop his Bharat Jodo Yatra and targeting the BJP said it is threatening the people and misusing the government agencies, Gandhi said the BJP did not succeed in this and the impact of the Yatra increased.

He said the result behind such an impact of the Yatra was because every Indian has the idea of join India inside their hearts. He added that the Yatra was put into execution as all the instruments that they needed to connect to the masses were controlled by BJP and the RSS.

Gandhi further added saying the march from Kanyakumari to Kashmir had the spirit of affection, respect and humility, he said if one traces back to the history, he/she would learn that spiritual leaders like Guru Nanak Dev, Guru Basavanna ji, Narayana Guru ji united India in a similar manner.

Gandhi is expected to address public rallies, community events and meet with Indians abroad, community leaders, business leaders along with American lawmakers.

The former Congress chief will also interact with students at the Stanford University, San Francisco and will also hold interactions with Wall Street executives.

Gandhi was received by Congress overseas affairs head Sam Pitroda.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled for a visit to the US in June on a special invitation of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

PM Modi will be hosted a state dinner by President Biden and his wife on June 22.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his Shakti remarks and said every mother and daughter is a form of Shakti in the country. He was addressing a Lok Sabha election rally in Telangana’s Jagtial.

PM Modi said that INDI alliance in their manifesto said that their fight is against Shakti. He said for him every mother, daughter and sister is a form of Shakti. He said he worships Bharat Mata. He said the INDI alliance manifesto says that they will finish Shakti. The prime minister said that he accepted this challenge.

He talked about how the landing point of Chandrayaan 3 is also named Shiv-Shakti. He said the fight is between those who want to finish Shakti and those who worship Shakti. He said Muqabla 4 June ko ho jaega. Earlier on Sunday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi spoke at the closing ceremony of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Mumbai. He compared the NDA regime to the Hindu symbol of Shakti which is often associated with Maa Durga.

He said in Hinduism, there is a term called Shakti. He said they are fighting against that Shakti. On being asked what is that Shakti? He responded by saying that the soul of the King is in EVM and every institution of the country in ED, CBI and Income Tax department.

Rahul Gandhi made a scathing attack on the prime minister and said Modi is a mask who works for the Shakti. He said PM Modi is a shallow man who doesn’t have a 56 inch chest. In response the BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya is a Hinduphobic and misogynist. He reminded the people how another prominent leader of the INDIA Bloc Udhayanidhi Stalin issued statements against Sanatan Dharma. He said after Udhayanidhi Stalin called for the annihilation of Sanatan Dharma, it is now Rahul Gandhi’s turn to denigrate Shakti.

Raut gave credit to Congress for keeping India united. He said there was no Congress then India would not have got independence and the party is responsible for India’s progress in science and technology.

Shiv Sena Leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday said that if there was no Congress then Pakistan would not have been divided into 2 parts. He claimed India would not have achieved independence and made progress in science and technology without the leadership of the Congress.

He said the debt of the country would have been less.

Raut alleged the BJP was responsible for scams such as Rafale and electoral bond. He said the BJP is responsible for inflicting poverty. He said those who have a king, their subjects suffer from diseases. Raut added the UBT led Shiv Sena only want the Election Commission to ensure free and fair elections.

Earlier on Friday Raut accused the BJP of being core beneficiary of the electoral bonds purchased by gaming and gambling companies. He alleged the BJP of being involved in the biggest scam in the country. According to Raut the scam involves gaming and gambling companies purchasing electoral bonds and channeling the funds directly into the bank accounts of the BJP.

Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi concluded his 63-day-Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra by paying tributes to Dr BR Ambedkar at his memorial Chaityabhoomi in Central Mumbai on Saturday. The former Congress President was accompanied by his sister and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

He paid tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar, the architect of Indian Constitution and read its preamble. Earlier he addressed a public meeting in Dharavi area of Mumbai. He said the Congress promise of caste census and asserted that poor women would get Rs 1 lakh every year in their bank accounts if Congress came to power.

The Congress leader said Dharavi belongs to its people. He said the skills of the people of Dharavi should be honoured and this place should become a manufacturing hub of the country. He referred to the redevelopment project of the slum area which has been awarded to the Adani group.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra which started from the strife-torn Manipur on January 14 entered Mumbai from neighbouring Thane on the 63rd day on Saturday. Gandhi will undertake a Nyay Sankalp Padyatra from Mani Bhavan to August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai on Sunday.

Speaking at the Nyay Sankal Sabha, Rahul Gandhi said these are not just guarantees. He said this is the voice of Indians and Congress has refined it. He added the BJP will not say this as it is a battle of 2 ideologies. He said truth and Hindustan are on his side.

During the Nyay Sankalp Sabha Gandhi highlighted his learnings from the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said at every step people came to him and shared the problems they were facing. He said he realized that a movement begins when he left his pain to realize the pain of the one standing beside them. Gandhi said he did not walk alone and lakhs of people walked with him.
