Uttar Pradesh Budget: Provision of Rs 276.66 crore for special security forces for religious places, budget aims for US$ one trillion economy
Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna on Thursday presented the second term maiden budget of Yogi Adityanath led government of Rs 6.15 lakh crore in the state assembly. In the budget, there were provisions for several new schemes.

While presenting the budget, Khanna said that the economy of the state is improving rapidly, and they believe that they will be successful in taking the state’s economy to USD 1 trillion.
Know the key highlights of the Uttar Pradesh Budget here:
- Rs 276.66 crore provision is for Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force for the protection of courts, religious places like Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura, metro rails, and historical places like the Taj Mahal, airports, banks, and other places of significance.
- In the coming next five years, 2 crore smartphones/tablets will be distributed to the youth. Earlier, for youth, the free tablet and smartphones scheme was started in December last year and now around 12 lakh tablets/smartphones were distributed.
- A provision of Rs 10 crore was also proposed to provide financial assistance to young lawyers for purchasing books and magazines for the first three years of work.
- Rs 75.50 crore was proposed for the women’s empowerment scheme. The state government also proposed setting up cyber help desks at the district level for women.
- For establishing International Cricket Stadium in Varanasi, Rs 95 crore was proposed.
- Rs 50 crore was proposed for establishing Major Dhyan Chand Sports University.
- In secondary education, 40,402 teachers have been selected and 7,450 posts were also created by ending the interview in teachers selection.
- For installing solar lights in the village under the scheme named after Kalyan Singh that is Babuji Kalyan Singh Gram Unnati Yojna, Rs 22.50 crore was allotted.
- Other than this, under the MGNREGA scheme, 26 crore man-days were created in the financial year 2021-22, and a target has been set to generate 32 crore man-days under the scheme in the financial year 2022-23.

Udaipur Murder: Shashi Tharoor posts powerful message, says killers should be punished
A Hindu tailor was beheaded by two Muslim men after the former supported suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma through social media.

Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor posted a powerful message on Tuesday condemning the murders of the Udaipur shopkeeper. The incident took place at Rajasthan’s Udaipur when two Muslims killed a Hindu tailor for supporting suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.
Congress leader did not only ask the officials to take required action against the killers but he also requested an exemplary punishment for them. Taking to his official Twitter Handle, Shashi Tharoor wrote, “I unreservedly condemn the horrific beheading of shopkeeper Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur by two Muslim youth.”
He further added, “Bigotry and violence have no place in our society and swift action must be and is being taken. Moreover, the murders must receive exemplary punishment. No one in this country should have any illusion that they can get away with such crimes, whatever might the provocations be.”

Later quint also posted a video of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor asking people to maintain calm and peace within the country and he also asked people to recognize the fact that following any religion is a personal affair and its high time that Indians understood that.
The murders posted a video on social media where they entered tailor’s shop and started giving measurements. Later both began to beat and harm the tailor. By the end of the video they even showed the weapon they used to behead the shopkeeper and even threatened to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Soon after the video went viral on social media, tweeple showed their anger over the matter. Hence, Tharoor urged people to take down the video in order to not let their motives win.
For the unversed, suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma had made a controversial remark about Prophet Mohammad in a live debate. Following that several Islamic countries did not only demand an apology from India but also the spokesperson was later suspended by the government.
And now a horrifying incident has now taken place in Rajasthan’s Udaipur, when a tailor was beheaded in daylight for supporting Nupur Sharma. The incident has also opened doors for communal hate as the culprits belonged to the Muslim community and the victim was a Hindu. However, both the murders have been apprehended from Rajsamand district.

A video has been doing rounds on the internet in which Rampur SP Ashok Kumar can be heard saying that if a girl runs away with her lover then it is the fault of her parents.
He further said that if he could, he would arrest the parents of a girl who runs away with her lover. In the video, SP Ashok Kumar also said that parents should take good care of their children and they should observe their activities. He concluded by saying that have they left the children after giving birth to them.
The video is now being widely shared on the internet and is being criticised by several users.
One of the users wrote that what is the use of saying this that the girl ran away, if both are adults and are doing this with consent then no one can do anything about it. And if the police try to do something in such a case then that would be a clear case of harassment from the police.

Another user wrote that how can a person with such a mentality become an SP.

Top Muslim bodies Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, AIMPLB condemn Udaipur killing, calls it against the religion of Islam
All India Muslim Personal Law Board also condemned the brutal incident. They released a statement, that reads, taking the law into their own hands is highly condemnable, regrettable and un-Islamic.

Top Muslim body Jamiat Ulama i-Hind has condemned the gruesome Udaipur killing incident and has called it against Islam and the law of land.
In the statement, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind said that Maulana Halceemuddin Qasmi, General Secretary condemned the incident of a brutal killing in Udaipur on the pretext of the insult to the Prophet and has called it against the law of land and against the religion of Islam.
The statement further read that whoever has perpetrated this incident cannot be justified in any way, it is against the law of land and religion. It was also mentioned that in the country, there is a system of law, and no one has the right to take the law into his own hands. Maulana Hakeemuddin Qasmi appealed to all the citizens of the country to restrain their emotions and maintain peace in the country.
All India Muslim Personal Law Board also condemned the brutal incident. They released a statement, that reads, taking the law into their own hands is highly condemnable, regrettable and un-Islamic.
It was further mentioned in a statement that they must enact a law against blasphemy for the religious personalities of all religions.
The General Secretary of AIMPLB, Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, said in a press statement that it is a grave crime to defame and slander a religious personality. The insults spoken by an ex-BJP spokesperson, Nupur Sharma against Prophet Muhammad are very painful for the Muslim community. The inaction of the government against this crime is nothing but rubbing salts on their wounds. In spite of this, nobody can be allowed to take the law into their hands and declaring someone a criminal and then murdering them is a highly condemnable act.
