The 16th edition of the Asia Cup is set to commence on August 30. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be jointly hosting it. Initially, the Asia Cup tournament was scheduled for 2021 but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was postponed.
The Asia Cup 2023 is going to be played in a hybrid model. While four games will be held in Pakistan and the remaining nine matches will be held in Sri Lanka. Six teams will be fighting for the title in the tournament: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Nepal.
In Asia Cup 2023, the six teams will be playing a total of 13 games. In the opening match on August 30, Pakistan and Nepal will be playing against each other at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan.
The tournament’s highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan will be on September 2 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. India and Pakistan are expected to lock horns with each other multiple times in this tournament. These two teams will be seen up against each other in the Super 4s as well as they might meet again in the event’s final on September 17.
