While the Indian cricket team is gearing up for the India vs Bangladesh ODI and Test Series, Indian opener KL Rahul might be planning to get married next month. Reports suggest that Rahul and Athiya might be tying the knot in January 2023, for which the cricketer has also applied for a long leave.

According to media reports, KL Rahul had also discussed this with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and sought personal leave. BCCI has agreed to this and now he will be rested or ruled out after the Bangladesh Test and ODI series. The reason behind this leave is believed to be his wedding with Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty.

Reportedly, both have been in a relationship for a very long time. Earlier there were reports that both would get married in December this year. However, now it has been told in the media reports that both of them can get married next month. Athiya was in Australia during the T20 World Cup 2022 and was seen with Rahul on several occasions. She also went to the stadium to watch the India-Bangladesh match. Rahul had also posted a romantic post on Athiya’s birthday on November 5.

For the unversed, Athiya is the daughter of Bollywood veteran Suniel Shetty. Athiya Shetty has worked in only five films in eight years. She started her career with the film Hero released in the year 2015, in which the actress was seen opposite Sooraj Pancholi. After this she has worked in films like Mubarakan, Nawabzade and Motichoor Chaknachoor.

On the other hand, Rahul has played 43 Tests, 45 ODIs and 72 T20s in his international career. He has 2547 runs in Tests at an average of 35.38, 1665 runs in ODIs at an average of 45 and 2265 runs in T20Is at an average of 37.75. Rahul is one of the few batsmen to score a century in all the three formats. KL has seven centuries and 13 half-centuries in Tests, five centuries and 10 half-centuries in ODIs, two centuries and 22 half-centuries in T20s. He is also the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants franchise in IPL.

Lastly, after the end of the T20 and ODI series against New Zealand, Team India will now play a three-match ODI series and a two-match Test series on Bangladesh tour. Many Indian senior players are returning to the team through this tour. These include senior players like regular captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. India’s Bangladesh tour will run from December 4 to December 26. Initially three ODIs will be played and after that, the Test series will be played from 14 December.

Indian cinema enthusiasts are in for an unexpected treat as the highly anticipated unfiltered version of the blockbuster film Dhurandhar is officially heading to digital platforms. In a surprising double-platform strategy, the raw and uncut cut of the action-packed movie is scheduled to begin streaming on both Netflix India and JioHotstar.

The sudden announcement from the streaming platforms has sparked significant buzz across social media. While much of the recent digital speculation has centered around the streaming schedule for the sequel, media updates have confirmed that this specific raw release applies to the franchise’s first installment. Dual-platform digital release brings uncensored action

The announcement has cleared up initial confusion among fans who were anticipating updates regarding the franchise. While international audiences have seen varied streaming distributions for the franchise, viewers within India will uniquely get access to the first film’s “undekha” (unseen) cut simultaneously on two separate streaming applications.

The standard digital premiere for the second installment, Dhurandhar 2, remains locked for June 4, 2026, on JioHotstar and will mirror the standard censored cut that was showcased during its theatrical run. However, for fans seeking an uncompromising, high-octane cinematic experience, the original film’s extended, raw edition arrives online tomorrow on both competing streaming services.
