Sunrisers Hyderabad’s speed sensation Umran Malik has hailed bowling coach Dale Steyn for whatever he has been able to achieve in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League.

Speaking with his teammate pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the IPL website, Umran Malik, the right-arm pacer of Jammu and Kashmit, revealed how SRH bowling coach Dale Steyn has been helping him and stands by him during net sessions.

During conversation with Kumar, Umran said his mentor Dale Steyn stand behind him for three hours and guide him. He was also asked about the raw pace that he has to which he said when he played with the tennis ball, even then people did not want to bat against him because he was so quick, the SRH pacer, who has bowled the fastest delivery of IPL this season at a staggering 157 KMPH, said.

Kumar also questioned him about the way he celebrates a wicket and he said he does that punch celebration after taking wickets in the nets, he did it just one day and it just stuck with him.

In this season of IPL, the SRH pacer Umran has been sensational and impressed everyone with his speed and his ability to bowl fast with every ball that he bowls. He is able to rattle batters with raw pace and his ability to bowl searing yorkers.

During the match against Mumbai Indians, the Jammu and Kashmir pacer, who was at his best against Mumbai Indians, rattled the opponent batters with his sheer pace and tight lines. He returned with figures of 3/23 in his 3 overs which helped his side for 3-run win against the 5-time IPL champion Mumbai Indians.

With 21 scalps to his name 13 matches, Umran is currently the fourth-highest wicket-taker in IPL 2022.
