Premier League club Tottenham Spurs on Monday sacked their club manager Nuno Espirito Santos from the post. Spurs announced his departure on their Twitter handle which stated, “The Club can today announce that Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias have been relieved of their duties.”

As per reports, Nuno was never backed by club chairman Daniel Levy and after their defeat against Manchester United on Saturday, the board decided to sack Nuno Santo.

Spurs hired Nuno as their replacement for Jose Mourinho, who was sacked earlier this year in April. Things started changing under the new manager Nuno and Spurs won their first three Premier League matches. However, after that North London club fell apart and now they have lost four of the last six matches across all competitions.

Ace journalist Fabrizio Romano said in a tweet that Antonio Conte is ready to accept the proposal as the talks are underway and understood to be at the final stages for both parties. As per Romano, Conte is expected soon to be in London to complete the deal. Conte is more than tempted to accept Spurs job, as he has already worked with Paratici at Juventus years ago.
