IND vs NZ: First T20I abandoned without a ball bowled due to heavy rainfall at Wellington

The first T20 of the three-match T20 series between India and New Zealand has been cancelled at Wellington. This decision has been taken due to heavy rainfall. Now the second match between the two teams will be played at Mount Maunganui on 20 November.

Even the toss could not be done due to rain, so the umpires decided to call off the match. According to the local meteorological department, there was no chance of the rain stopping for the next four-five hours.

However, this decision has been taken before the cut-off time. The cut off time was 02:16 IST. At the same time, the toss was to be held at 11.30 am, which could not happen. The match was to start at 12 noon, the captains agreed to call off the match by shaking hands.

Now India and New Zealand will come face to face in the second T20I match, which will be played on 20 November. The match will be played at Mount Maunganui and the third T20I will be played in Napier on 22 November. After this, the ODI series will start from 25 November. The first ODI will be played in Auckland on 25 November, the second in Hamilton on 27 November and the third ODI will be played at Christchurch on 30 November.

Where to Watch IND vs NZ T20 Series?

Amazon’s Prime Video has the rights of digital broadcast of this series. In such a situation, online streaming of all the matches can be seen on Prime Video. All the matches were earlier exclusively available only on OTT but after special arrangements, now this series can be seen on DD Sports channel in India.

2nd T20 match will be played on November 20, Sunday at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui

And 3rd T20 match will be played on November 22, Tuesday at McLean Park, Napier.

The T20 matches between India and New Zealand will start at 12 noon Indian time. For this the toss coin will be tossed half an hour before i.e. at 11:30 am.
