Team India has made a dominating start for ODI clashes in 2023. Men in blue played 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka and thrashed the opponents in every possible way. Be it Indian batter, bowlers or fielders, Team India is leaving no stone unturned to make their mark before the ODI World Cup 2023.
The first match between India and Sri Lanka was played at Wankhede and India won the match by 67 runs. Not only that Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubhman Gill made half centuries and gave Indian innings a good start but former skipper Virat Kohli played the last over, made his 73rd international century and gave a target of 371 runs for Sri Lanka to chase.
However, in the second match Sri Lanka did show the spirit of fighting back and dismissed top 4 really quick but KL Rahul live saving innings defeated Islanders by 4 wickets. And the third match that was played last night at Thiruvananthapuram was a little extra special for Virat Kohli fans.
The 34-year-old not only made a his 74th international century and 64th ODI century but also came an inch closer to Sachin Tendulkar’s 49 ODI century world record. Kohli, who came to bat when Rohit was dismissed at 42, played the last ball of the 3rd ODI. With the fastest 150 in India, Kohli broke several records last night.

However, after clean swiping Sri Lanka at home grounds. Now Team India is all set to take on Kane Williamson’s New Zealand. Men in Blue will play host to the black caps once against but this time for a 3-match ODI series. Both the team will want to win the game and present better numbers before the ODI World Cup.
