Before the T20 series against Sri Lanka, Hardik Pandya and the Indian cricket team will practice at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Also, men in blue have an optional training session in the morning and afternoon today. Tomorrow both the teams will lock horns for the first T20 at 7 pm.
With this series Team India is starting its home season against Sri Lanka in this new year. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya has been given the command of the Indian team. At the same time, in the absence of Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav has been given the vice-captaincy, while Ishaan Kishan and Sanju Samson have also been included in the team.
Along with them, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill and Rahul Tripathi would also like to leave their mark with the opportunities they have got in this series. On the other hand, with the presence of Arshdeep Singh and Harshal Patel in the team, the bowling attack seems stable against Sri Lanka. Umran Malik, Mukesh Kumar and Shivam Mavi have got a place in the team in place of Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
