INDW vs THAW: India enters Asia Cup 2022 finals, thrashes Thailand by 74 runs
Team India will now take on Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2022 Final on October 15.

Indian Women’s Cricket team has entered the final of Women’s Asia Cup 2022. The semi final match against India has once again proved that Thailand is still weak as team for this star studded event.
India played the semi finals against Thailand and won it by 74 runs. Women In Blue gave a modest looking 149 run chase for Thailand. But in the second innings Thailand could only manage 74/9 in 20 overs.
Deepti Sharma who also grabbed attention during the Mankad run out during IND vs ENG three match series was the wrecker in chief during the Asia Cup 2022 semis as well. Taking 3 wickets for 7 runs in 4 overs, Deepti took the women of the match award.
However, none of the Indian batters could also score big as Thailand kept taking wickets regularly. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur contributed 36 and Shefali Verma was the top scorer for India as she scored 42 of 28 balls.
But the credit for this entrie win should be given to the Indian bowlers as they restricted the team for just 75 runs and won the match by a half total.
On the other hand Sri Lanka has finally entered the Asia Cup Finals after 15 years. They defeated Pakistan by 1 run and stole a thrilling one-run victory in the semi-final of the Asia Cup 2022.
Now India will take on Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2022 finals. For a country like Sri Lanka, which is going through some really tough time, to see both of their teams perform well would have been a relief at some levels.
For those who don’t know the Men’s Asia Cup 2022 was also won by Sri Lanka for the sixth time and now that the women’s cricket team will also play the finals is point of pride for the nation.
However, when it come’s to India, the Women in Blue have always been dominants through the tournament but they have time and again lost in the big finals. Be it the world Cup, Commonwealth Games 2022, Team India has lost the finals.
Hence, it will be interesting to see whether this time India will break the jinx or will Sri Lanka match up to it’s Men’s team and lift the Asia Cup 2022 trophy.
