Punjab Kings (PBKS) all rounder Deepak Hooda has come under the scanner of BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit which has a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption.

When the fans were enjoying Rajasthan Royals miraculous win over Punjab Kings, a social media post has seemed to spark the interest of the BCCI’s anti-corruption unit.

Currently, the BCCI ACU headed by Shabir Hussein Shekhadam Khandwawala is keeping a close eye on the Indian Premier League which is going on in UAE.

The BCCI-ACU has been closely monitoring the players’ and franchise’s social media accounts as they feel with the advent of technology, approaches might be made via various social media platforms. The cricket body had already cleared that though the PR teams handle players’ social media, the players themselves had to be responsible for what they are posting.

Ahead of the last year’s IPL in UAE, former Anti-Corruption Unit chief Ajit Singh had said that social media interactions were being monitored.

Hours before the game against the Rajasthan Royals, Hooda took to Twitter and Instagram as well and posted a picture that shows him putting on the team helmet.

Punjab Kings hitter Hooda had posted a picture around 2 pm on the match day that shows him putting on the team helmet. With hastag #saddapunjab, he wrote here we go. However the post will be checked by the ACU team to see if it breaches the anti-corruption guidelines.
