The Delhi Capitals camp has been forced into isolation once again after another positive Covid case has emerged in the latest round of testing. Reportedly, a net bowler from DC has been tested positive and has been immediately quarantined. However, the franchise has not yet revealed the name of the player.

This news just came out, while the team was gearing up for their eleventh game against MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings. The match will be played at the DY Patil stadium at 7:30 pm. Reportedly, a fresh round of testing was done this Sunday morning and later all members of the contingent were confined to their rooms.

However, BCCI has not yet made any official announcement regarding the case, but the fans are eager to know whether the match between DC and CSK will be held after the Covid case or the board will give some time to Delhi Capitals after postponing the match.

Moreover, this is not for the first time that a player from Delhi Capitals has been infected by Covid-19 in IPL 2022. Earlier, six members from Delhi Capitals including all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, physio Patrick Farhart, keeper-batter Tim Seifert and 3 other non-playing members had tested positive for Covid-19.

BCCI has not yet made any announcement regarding the postponement of the match but Chennai Super Kings are not expecting any change in the match schedule. A CSK official said, “We understand the match will go ahead, otherwise we would have been informed by now. It is only a net bowler and all players are in their rooms. So, we do not expect changes.”

The Rishabh Pant’s team Delhi Capitals have earned ten points in ten matches with the help of five wins and five losses. Delhi Capitals will remain in contention for a Playoffs in IPL 2022. The team is currently seated at the fifth position and after facing CSK, they will play against Rajasthan Royals on May 11 followed by a game against Punjab Kings on May 16.
