India Ki Udaan: Google shares short video on Instagram to mark India’s 75 years of Independence

India is all set to celebrate its 75th year of independence on August 15. As the day is just around the corner, tech giant Google art and culture on Friday announced an initiative called India ki Udaan, under which it showcased how India has achieved so much in the last 75 years. In order to mark the special day, the firm also released a short video on the photo-sharing application Instagram, where it has shared the culture, art, sports and other big events that the country has witnessed in the last 75 years.

The initiative has been launched by Google’s art and culture at an event that was held at Delhi’s Sunder Nursery on Friday. The event has been attended by the Union Culture and Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy and senior officials of the culture ministry and Google.

The heart-touching video, which was narrated by the Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar starts with a glimpse of the father of the nation Mahatama Gandhi. The short clips show how India has worked to conquer all the hardships and walked towards the road of success during the last 75 years.

An initiative India ki Udaan allows people to explore more than 120 illustrations and 21 stories created by 10 artists, alongside exhibitions from various institutions across India.

Manager & Vice president, Google India Sanjay Gupta, Country in a blog post said that the initiative different view of the country’s remarkable moments. He said, through this, it will will allow people to discover India’s history, iconic personalities, proudest scientific and sporting achievements, and how the country’s women inspired the world. As we go forward, we’ll continue to work with partners and artists to enrich the collection, Gupta added.

In order to make the initiative a big success, the tech giant also asked the students between 1 to 10 grades to participate in the 2022 Doodle for Google contest on the theme of in the next 25 years, my India will.

It says the winner of the contest will have their artwork displayed on the Google homepage in India on November 14th. Apart from this, it also revealed that the winner also will be awarded an INR 5,00,000 college scholarship, and an INR 2,00,000 technology package for their school/non-profit organization and recognition of achievement.

The grand old party on Saturday launched an attack on Union Minister Smriti Irani as they uploaded a video of her being questioned by Bharatiya Janata Party’s worker over the LPG prices. A BJP worker was pleading for respite in LPG prices from the Union Minster Smriti Irani which was recorded in a video.

In the video, a woman can be seen standing in front of BJP’s Smriti Irani and asking her for relief in inflating LPG prices. The woman can be heard talking about her own struggle in tackling the issue as she stated that she has 3 daughters and claimed that there has been a rampant increase in inflation which translated to the increase in prices of LPG.

The woman can further be heard saying due to inflation she is forced to work and by the end, she pleaded for some relief in LPG prices. Union Minister Smriti Irani can be seen patiently and discerningly listening to her plea to the government. The BJP workers, present at the program can also be seen applauding the question in a form of solidarity.

The Congress uploaded the video with a Tweet where the grand old party also wrote and highlighted the irony of Smriti Irani’s protest against the LPG prices back when they were 400 Rs. The grand old party further added that now she is silent, implying that the Union Minister has failed to bring respite despite now being in power

The attack by the grand old party comes amidst the ongoing row over Rahul Gandhi’s aarti form for which the former Congress President, Rahul Gandhi, got trolled by some in the BJP including Union Minister Smriti Irani.

BJP’s Smriti Irani had stirred up a conversation over the form of Rahul Gandhi’s Aarti where he can be seen performing the Aarti anti-clockwise. The Union Minister added to the trolling and criticism of Gandhi as she edited Rahul Gandhi’s Aarti Photo during the Bharat Jodo Yatra and rotated it to make it look like it is a clockwise motion.

Irani, in her tweet, also slyly described the photo of the Congress MP to look fine after her editing. The grand old party was infuriated by the Irani’s tweets as they dug up a video of Modi performing Aarti in a similar way to retort to BJP’s claims.

Shraddha murder case: Court remands Aaftab Poonawala to 13-day judicial custody

The Saket Court in Delhi has sent Aaftab Amin Poonawala, the accused of Shraddha Walkar murder, to judicial custody for 13 days.

Earlier Aftab was taken to Ambedkar Hospital. He was produced in a Delhi court through video conferencing from the hospital itself. Special CP Law and Order Sagarpreet Hooda, Delhi Police had appealed to the Magistrate that the production of the accused should be done from the hospital itself.

There is a new revelation in the Shraddha murder case. According to reports, accused Aftab had dated a doctor after Shraddha’s murder. He met this girl through the dating app Bumble and invited her to his house when Shraddha’s body parts were kept in the fridge. Delhi Police have identified that girl. She is a psychologist by profession. Aaftab and Shraddha had also met on the Bumble app.

Bones found in forest were of Shraddha

Important evidence has been found against Aaftab in the Shraddha murder case. According to reports, forensic investigation has revealed that the bones recovered from the forest belong to Shraddha. The DNA found in bones has matched with Shraddha’s father. Now the police are waiting for the reports. Special CP (Law and Order) Sagar Preet Hooda said that the DNA test report (of the victim’s parts) has not been received yet.

Here, Shraddha’s father Vikas Walker has demanded a CBI inquiry. During an interview with a news channel, he said – Aftab is still misleading the police and there should be a CBI inquiry into the matter. He kept blackmailing Shraddha continuously and kept threatening her. He used to tell Shraddha in clear words that he would kill her.

Aftab’s family also involved in the murder, Shraddha’s father alleges

Shraddha’s father has alleged that Aftab’s family is also involved in his daughter’s murder. Aaftab’s parents were aware of his antics. They knew that Aaftab used to fight with Shraddha. They should have informed me about this but nothing happened, he added.

Shraddha was murdered on May 18

According to the Delhi Police, 28-year-old Aaftab had murdered 27-year-old Shraddha on May 18. Both were in a live-in relationship. Aftab had cut Shraddha’s body into 35 pieces. Bought a 300 liter fridge to keep them. He used to go to the forest every night at 2 am for 18 days to throw the pieces of the dead body.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi along with his sister and general secretary of Congress Priyanka Gandhi had held an Aarti with the Brahmapuri Ghat’s priest. The video of his Aarti went viral which triggered a row over the right method to perform Aarti by the Bharatiya Janata Party. The Aarti ceremony was held during Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra which recently entered Madhya Pradesh.

BJP Amit Malviya and Smriti Irani Trolled the grand old party’s leader Rahul Gandhi, however, the Congress party leaders also went on to counter the BJP’s claims which ended up in an online stir between the two partys.

BJP’s Amit Malviya on Saturday took to Twitter to upload a clip from Rahul Gandhi’s Aarti ceremony during the Bharat Jodo Yatra and remarked that Aarti is done clockwise and substantiated his claims by using alleged scientific reasoning which stated that the earth moves in a clockwise direction and hence environmental frequencies are in sync with the movement.

Malviya further termed Rahul Gandhi as an opportunist Hindu and claimed that he is making a spectacle of himself in public.

Union Minister Smriti Irani added to the trolling of Rahul Gandhi and tweeted a rotated photo of the Congress leader and stated that now she has corrected Rahul’s methods.

Congress’s retort, Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena’s remark on BJP’s trolling

Congress’s spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, infuriated by the claims of the BJP leaders went a step further and dug out an old video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi where he can be seen performing the Aarti the same way Rahul Gandhi was.

Shrinate in her Tweet further sarcastically questioned BJP’s Amit Malviya and Smriti Irani who had objected to the methods of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.

Uddhav-led Shiv Sena’s Priyanka Chaturvedi also chimed in to question Smriti Irani’s take and attacked her for allegedly making fun of the Hindu Rituals.

Bharat Jodo Yatra spear-headed by Rahul Gandhi recently entered Mortakka Village in Madhya Pradesh and will head toward Rajasthan. The Bharat Jodo Yatra has covered 34 districts of 7 states.
