Jailed former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia on Saturday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his education. Addressing the people of the nation in a letter, he alleged that PM Modi’s lack of education is dangerous for the country.
The senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader released a letter from Tihar jail and alleged that PM Modi doesn’t understand the importance of education and doesn’t understand science, claiming that more than 60,000 schools have been closed in the country in the last few years.
Sisodia, who is currently under ED and CBI custody for his alleged corruption in the Delhi liquor policy, raised questions on the genuineness of PM Modi’s degrees and asked shouldn’t the biggest manager of the country be educated and raised questions.
Sisodia in a letter stated that he saw a video of PM Modi in which he proudly says he is not educated and has taken education in the village school. Is it a proud thing to be uneducated or lesser educated? A good education cannot be made available to a child of a common man in a country whose prime minister is proud of being less educated, he said, adding that a well-educated man is searched for a post of a manager in a company, so shouldn’t the biggest manager of a country be educated?
Sisodia also referred to PM Modi’s theory on using gutter gas for preparing tea and remark on cloud cover to target and said that such statements are dangerous for the country. He said it is necessary to have an educated PM for the country’s progress.
The CBI on February 26 arrested Manish Sisodia in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.
