A massive violence broke out in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal last week during a protest against a court-ordered survey of the Mughal-era Shahi Jama Masjid.
Earlier, the SP had postponed its visit after receiving assurances from the Director General of Police regarding an impartial investigation into the violence.
A reward may also be announced for information leading to their arrest.
The protesters also set some vehicles on fire and threw stones at the police, who used tear gas and batons to disperse the mob.
