Jawan: Actor Aaliyah Qureishi reveals she couldn’t get tickets for her own film, had to request production for it
The actor said because of the high craze of the film among the people, she was unable to book the tickets for her own film for her family and friends.
Atlee Kumar’s Jawan, which features Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, and many others, continues to perform well at the box office even though it was just released on September 7. The film is anticipated to shatter every record and become the year’s biggest smash. Actor-musician Aaliyah Qureishi, who was also seen sharing the screen with these esteemed actors, has recently revealed in an interview that she faced difficulties in booking the ticket for her own film.
Aaliyah, was a significant member of the female team in Jawan instructed by Azaad, played by SRK. In the action thriller, she portrayed the role of Janhvi. The actor said because of the high craze of the film among the people, she was unable to book the tickets for her own film for her family and friends. She had to request production for the tickets. She said, I had to request the production team to provide me with 10 tickets so that I could take my family and friends too.
During the interview, the actor also revealed that working with Vijay Sethupathi was like a dream come true. In the film, Aaliyah appeared on-screen alongside Vijay Sethupathi, an Indian actor. She became his ardent fan simply from their time together while shooting. She referred to him by saying, I love Vijay, sir. Anyone who criticises him even the slightest bit will be met with my death blow.
She continued, you won’t feel like you’re talking to a star when you speak to him. He is simply pleasant, tranquil, and independent. Qureishi also said, he doesn’t have anything showy.
Aaliyah Qureishi further revealed about Vijay Sethupathi that he would sometimes have an acting coach with him on the sets. She said, he occasionally brought an acting coach with him to the set so they could discuss how to approach a situation somewhat differently or whether there was any inflection he could alter. Therefore, despite being at the top, he is constantly working to improve his craft.
Aaliyah also revealed in the interview how well-matched Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Sethupathi are. While Vijay is more about improvisation, where he would just say something funny out of the blue, Shah Rukh sir is all about charisma and style, Aaliyah said.
Meanwhile, ever since the film was released it has created several box-office records across the globe. Till now the film has earned Rs 600 crore globally in all the languages.
