In a series of posts on social media platform X, Dar clarified the misinformation and took the opportunity to set the record straight on several points, particularly regarding her background and career shift.

The controversy began when Zara posted a video explaining her decision to quit her PhD in engineering and focus on adult content creation. The video quickly went viral, with some viewers misinterpreting or distorting the details of her story. One of the most prevalent rumors was that Zara Dar was of Pakistani origin.

In her clarification, Zara stated, “With all due respect, I am not Pakistani. I am American, born and raised, with a mixed background: American, Persian, Southern European, Middle Eastern, and Indian.” She explained that her name, “Darcy,” which she shortens to “Dar,” led to confusion, as it resembled that of a different Pakistani influencer, Zara Dar.

Manish Sisodia hits out at Manoj Tiwari after he shares misleading Kejriwal video

This incident occurred amid controversy surrounding Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah’s remarks in the Rajya Sabha regarding B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader Manish Sisodia hit out at BJP MP Manoj Tiwari for sharing a selectively edited video of former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal.

The 9-second clip, which went viral on social media, was posted by Tiwari on X, featuring Kejriwal saying, “We were sitting… Someone was saying that whoever has written the Constitution must be drunk while writing it.”

This incident occurred amid controversy surrounding Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah’s remarks in the Rajya Sabha regarding B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.

Tiwari, a three-time MP from North East Delhi, shared the video with the comment, “I found this video of the head of Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party after listening to which everyone will be able to see his true colours.”

In response, Sisodia released the complete 19-second video of Kejriwal’s original speech, accusing Tiwari of spreading falsehoods. The full video, dating back 12 years, reveals that Kejriwal was actually discussing the Congress party’s constitution, not the Indian Constitution.

“The Constitution of the Congress party says no worker shall consume liquor. We were sitting… Someone amongst us said the one who wrote the Constitution must have been drunk while writing it,” Kejriwal stated.

While sharing the complete video, Sisodia urged Tiwari to stop acting like “cheap trolls,” emphasizing, “You are an MP, have some shame. You are tweeting lies. If not for yourself, at least respect the position of an MP.”

Tiwari retorted, suggesting there should be decorum in debates, adding, “You got so angry that you called me shameless.” This exchange follows a significant uproar caused by Amit Shah’s comments in the Rajya Sabha, where he remarked, “It has become a fashion to say Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar. If they had taken God’s name so many times, they would have got a place in heaven.”

In the ongoing second ODI between India Women and West Indies Women at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara, India have put up a solid performance, reaching 358/5 in 50 overs. Harleen Deol is in impressive form, standing strong at century, while Jemimah Rodrigues contributes with half century as they continue to build on their momentum after India’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur chose to bat first after winning the toss.

India had earlier dominated the first match of the series with a commanding 211-run victory, marking their second-largest win in women’s ODIs. The West Indies team is looking to bounce back from that crushing defeat, which was their heaviest in terms of runs in ODI history.

India has remained unchanged from the first ODI, with Pratika Rawal, who was part of the record-setting 211-run win, getting another chance to impress at the top of the order. The West Indies, aiming to level the series, have handed a debut to Nerissa Crafton, the 26-year-old middle-order batter, in place of Shabika Gajnabi. Crafton’s inclusion also adds an additional bowling option for the visitors after they struggled to control the Indian batters in the previous match, conceding 160 runs off the last 20 overs.

India’s lineup includes Smriti Mandhana, Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Harmanpreet Kaur (capt), Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh (wk), Deepti Sharma, Saima Thakor, Titas Sadhu, Priya Mishra, and Renuka Singh. The West Indies squad consists of Hayley Matthews (capt), Qiana Joseph, Shemaine Campbelle (wk), Deandra Dottin, Rashada Williams, Zaida James, Nerissa Crafton, Aaliyah Alleyne, Shamilia Connell, Afy Fletcher, and Karishma Ramharack.

The match is still in progress as India looks to build on their strong position.
