Gadar 2

Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma’s Gadar 2 is performing exceptionally well at the box office. The movie has already exceeded the Rs 450 crore mark domestically and is aiming to compete with the lifetime earnings of blockbusters like Baahubali 2 and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. Such results, despite the competition from OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar, are a definite sign that fans have embraced the movie passionately.

The movie has already been seen many times in theatres, and many people are now excitedly anticipating its release on digital platforms. Anil Sharma, the film’s director, recently gave an update on the movie’s OTT release.

Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, will be released digitally soon, according to director Anil Sharma. He said that while the movie is doing well in theatres, it won’t be available on OTT platforms for a while, so fans will need to wait a little longer.

The director said, people won’t be able to see Gadar 2 on OTT anytime soon because it continues to run in theatres thus it’s streaming on OTT will begin six to eight months from now. By then, a huge number of people would already have seen the movie in theatres, and a huge number have already done so, the director added. The biggest triumph of the movie is that we were able to engage the audience.

The film is an ode to the wildly popular Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which was released in 2001. While Ameesha plays Tara Singh’s wife, Sakeena, Sunny reprises his role as Tara Singh. The story takes place in 1971, during the stormy Indo-Pakistan conflict, as Tara Singh crosses international boundaries to free his son Jeete (Utkarsh Sharma) from prison. The movie’s supporting cast also includes Manish Wadhwa, Simrat Kaur, and Gaurav Chopra.

However, if you can’t wait too long to see Gadar 2 on OTT, then you must visit your nearest theater.
