Haryana Temple

In a strange event, the thief prayed and laid a Rs 10 note at the deity’s feet just before robbing the temple and making off with Rs 5,000. The incident happened at a Hanuman temple in the Rewari district of Haryana.

According to reports, the burglar can be seen for a short while on the CCTV camera sitting in front of the idol of Lord Hanuman. He is keenly perceptive and keeps an eye on the followers. He even offers the deity a Rs 10 note while reciting the Hanuman Chalisa.

He opens the box and removes a handful of money after spotting a good opportunity. He then flees while carrying the same. He stole Rs 5,000 in total.

Being fully uninformed that a theft had occurred, the priest shut the temple doors. But when he came back the following morning, he found that the donation box’s lock had been smashed.

The robber was only seen chanting the Hanuman Chalisa and placing money at the feet of the deity before doing the theft, which was only found when the police reviewed the CCTV camera.

The police have filed a case in this matter. Investigations are being conducted in an effort to apprehend the thief after reviewing CCTV evidence. According to reports, the incident took place on Sunday night at about 9 PM.

Meanwhile, a similar occurrence was seen on camera, when the driver of the car was hailed online as the real hero. The theft was caught on camera in the nearby suburbs and played on a Twitter account. A woman was captured on camera carrying a bag in each hand and another sling bag across her body as she moved across the pavement. Nearby, a man riding a maroon bike stopped and dismounted to steal her pocketbook. The victim attempted to flee while seeming terrified, but the man grabbed her bag and went in the direction of his bike.

On this sacred occasion, devotees observe fasts, perform special puja rituals, and visit temples to seek divine blessings.

Australia vs South Africa, Champions Trophy 2025: Match abandoned due to rain, PCB criticized for ground management

The highly anticipated Champions Trophy 2025 clash between Australia and South Africa was abandoned due to rain, with PCB facing criticism for inadequate ground coverage.

Australia vs South Africa Champions Trophy 2025 match abandoned due to rain

The Group B match between Australia and South Africa in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 was abandoned due to persistent heavy rain in Rawalpindi. The game was scheduled for February 25, but continuous downpours made play impossible, leading to the decision to call off the match without a toss.

Both Australia and South Africa have been awarded one point each. With this result, both teams now stand at three points apiece. Meanwhile, England and Afghanistan will face a do-or-die match on Wednesday, where the loser will be eliminated from the semi-final race, joining Pakistan and Bangladesh.

PCB under fire for poor ground management

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif took to social media to criticize the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for its failure to cover the entire Rawalpindi ground adequately. With rain playing a crucial role in determining tournament outcomes, the lack of full ground covers sparked debate on whether better preparation could have helped save the game.

Kaif also questioned the International Cricket Council (ICC) for not ensuring top-notch infrastructure in a tournament of this stature. The criticism comes at a time when the Champions Trophy is facing unpredictable weather conditions, further affecting its scheduling.

Toss delays and cut-off time confusion

As the rain continued, the tournament organizers set a cut-off time of 7:32 PM local time (8:02 PM IST) for a 20-over match. However, with worsening conditions and increased water accumulation on the covers, the match was eventually abandoned before reaching the deadline.

According to reports, the tournament rules indicate that for every 4.2 minutes of rain delay, one over is lost. As a result, the hopes of even a shortened contest quickly faded.

Weather forecast remains grim for upcoming matches

The rain in Rawalpindi is expected to persist over the next few days, with similar conditions anticipated until Saturday. This is concerning for the upcoming South Africa vs England match, which is set to take place in Karachi. If rain continues to disrupt games, it could significantly impact the points table and the road to the semi-finals.

With the washout of this crucial fixture, the focus now shifts to England vs Afghanistan, which will determine the semi-final scenarios. If weather permits, fans can expect a high-stakes battle between the two teams fighting for survival.

The L-mount camera, designed to “evoke the essence of photography,” features a radically simple layout with only three buttons, a dial, and a shutter release.

Compact yet powerful design

Measuring 5.1 x 2.9 x 1.4 inches and weighing just 13.7 ounces (388 grams), the Sigma BF eliminates unnecessary distractions, allowing photographers to focus entirely on capturing images. The camera introduces a new user interface, ensuring key photography settings—shutter speed, aperture, ISO, exposure compensation, and color modes—are accessible at the touch of a finger.
