Today in Delhi, actor Kangana Ranaut is scheduled to host a special screening of her new film Tejas for a number of Indian Air Force officers and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Kangana told the paparazzi about the screening when she was seen a while back at the Mumbai airport.

They’re heading to a great event today. For our Defence Minister, we have arranged a special screening of our movie Tejas. There will also be a few of IAF officers there. While speaking shortly with the photographers, Kangana said, please pray for us and hope everything goes well.

The film is slated to release in theatres on October 27. The project, which is led by Sarvesh Mewara, centres on the incredible journey of Air Force pilot Tejas Gill. Its goal is to uplift and inculcate a strong sense of pride in every Indian by demonstrating how Indian Air Force pilots brave many obstacles in the course of their tireless work to defend our country.

Kangana posted a few photos of the Tejas team with Honourable Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and COAS General Manoj Pande on social media to celebrate this proud moment with her admirers. She also wrote a powerful caption, saying, tonight at the Indian Air Force auditorium, Team Tejas arranged a special screening for Respected Defence Minister Rajnath Singh ji and numerous dignitaries.

Seeing a film honouring our armed forces, their personnel, and the honourable defence minister himself was an exciting event. After seeing the movie Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM gave her director Sarvesh mewara a gift of his fighter jet-shaped brooch, which he took out of his jacket in a strange moment. We were greatly affected by this gesture, and it appeared that our goal had been achieved. We are ecstatic and eager to present the movie to everyone on Friday, October 27.

Meanwhile, she will be also seen in Emergency, which was earlier scheduled to release this year, but now it is scheduled to release next year.

Khan was known for playing supporting characters across Hindi cinema and had worked in films spanning several decades. His role as Balu in Welcome remains among his best-known performances.

Mushtaq Khan’s film career

Mushtaq Khan appeared in a wide range of films during his career. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Gopi Kishan, Krantiveer, Raja, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jodi No. 1 and Hera Pheri.

He also featured in more recent films including Stree 2, Gadar 2, Baby John, Dhoom Dhaam and Jaat. His filmography lists acting work continuing into 2026.

In Welcome, Khan played Balu, a supporting character in the comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and other prominent actors.

Mushtaq Khan dies at 56

The actor’s death was reported on September 24, 2026. Reports said Khan had been undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with liver cancer and had been hospitalised for around 15 days. Further details surrounding his death were awaited in the initial reports.
