The producers of Koffee with Karan Season 7 have dropped the promo of the upcoming episode and it looks no less than a swagger episode. The upcoming episode will see Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor gracing the Koffee couch. Looking at the promo, one can guess the episode to be full power-packed.

The promo opens with Karan Johar asking Anil Kapoor about the three things that make him feel younger, to which the Jug Jugg Jeeyo actor hilariously responds, sex, leaving both Varun Dhawan and Karan Johar in splits. Kapoor later says this is all scripted.

Meanwhile, the promo shows Varun Dhawan being obsessed with Arjun Kapoor. Varun Dhawan has an Arjun Kapoor reference to all rapid-fire questions, whether it’s gossiping, taking selfies, or choosing the wrong scripts. Listening to his answers, Karan Johar laughs out loud. Anil Kapoor laughs and says he (Arjun) is my nephew.

Karan Johar also asked Varun to choose between Katrina Kaif or Deepika Padukone with whom he wants to work, and his reply might land him in controversy. He says that people have often told him that he looks younger than them and that the pair wouldn’t look good onscreen.

With one of the stars being a newlywed and the other having been married for nearly 40 years, the episode was packed with marriage advice for viewers.

Koffee With Karan Season 7 airs exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar, with new quirky games and the all-time favorite rapid fire, bringing fans closer to their favourite stars.

Batwara 1947 has had a disappointing run at the box office, and actor Shabana Azmi has now shared her thoughts on why the film may not have connected with audiences. According to Azmi, one possible reason could be the difficulty some viewers had in accepting Sunny Deol as a Muslim character.

The film, which also features Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, was released on August 14. It has reportedly earned around Rs 53 crore so far, while Awarapan 2, which released on the same day, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.

Discussing the film’s response, Shabana Azmi questioned whether audiences were able to accept Sunny Deol in a Muslim role.

She compared the situation with Amitabh Bachchan’s earlier performances in which he portrayed Muslim characters. Azmi pointed to Deewaar, where Bachchan’s character is associated with the number 786, and said such portrayals had been accepted by audiences.

Azmi also suggested that there may have been confusion among some viewers about Sunny Deol’s character in Batwara 1947. She said that even some people who had watched the film believed Deol was playing a Pakistani character, whereas, according to her, he plays an Indian Muslim.

What Shabana Azmi said about the film’s reception

Azmi said she was surprised by the contrast between the appreciation she had heard from people who watched the film and its weak theatrical performance.

According to her, viewers who discussed the film with her had praised its message of humanity, but that appreciation did not translate into enough people going to theatres.

She also questioned whether audiences were uncomfortable with the film’s India-Pakistan subject. Azmi maintained that the film’s message was not politically incorrect and praised Sunny Deol’s performance.

According to the details shared by her son, Aasha Jaiswal Singh died on August 22. Her last rites were held at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle West, Mumbai, on August 23 at 10 am.
