After the match, Rajasthan’s bowling coach Shane Bond revealed that the England star, Buttler, had been unwell for the last couple of days. Despite this, he managed to score a century, which Bond described as an incredible effort considering he had come straight from his bed.

Regarding the performances of pacers Trent Boult and Nandre Burger, who were taken to cleaners by Virat, Bond said, “It was not the best start for us. However, we are lucky to have five really nice bowlers. We were able to restrict them to a score of 180-something and felt that we were still in the game.”

Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal were impressive in keeping the runs under control. The pitch was in good condition and had something for the bowlers if they varied their pace and focused on the right areas or used the right bounce, he added.

Bond praised Virat Kohli for his eighth IPL century, calling him a great technician. He further added that while he enjoys watching Virat’s gameplay, it can be frustrating when you are on the receiving end. Buttler, on the other hand, has the ability to score from various areas of the park and has a lot of power. These are two different players that are fantastic to watch.
