KRK tweets after bail: Back for vengeance, he says

Actor and self-acclaimed critic Kamaal Rashid Khan (KRK) who was behind the bars for his controversial tweets and for allegedly sexually harassing an actress, was released on bail on Wednesday. Post bail, KRK’s son Faisal took to his father’s Twitter handle and urged actors Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis to save the life of Deshdrohi actor.

In a tweet, Faisal Kamaal wrote that some people are torturing to kill his father in Mumbai. He said he is just 23 years old, living in London, and doesn’t know how to help his father. He tagged Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, and Devendra Fadnavis and requested them to save his father’s life. He further said he and his sister would die without him.

Implying foul play in the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, who was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his Bandra home in Mumbai in 2020, Faisal in another Tweet wrote that he does not want his father to die like Sushant Singh Rajput because he is their life. He also requested the public to support his father to save his life.

Notably, after serving nine days in custody KRK was released from the Thane jail on Wednesday after he was granted bail by a magistrate court in Mumbai’s Borivali.

KRK was arrested at Mumbai International Airport on August 30 over his questionable tweets on actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.

On April 29, 2020, KRK announced Rishi Kapoor’s hospitalization and said the actor must not die as the wine shops are set to open. On the same day, Mera Naam Joker actor died due to leukemia.

KRK also took a dig at Irrfan Khan, a day before he died of a colon infection on April 29.

He was also arrested for allegedly demanding sexual favours from an actress and holding the complainant’s hand in the first week of January 2019.

Bhatt addressed the questions he had been receiving from followers on social media and thanked them for their interest. However, he made it clear that he is not part of the upcoming season.

In an Instagram Story, Bhatt said that he does not think he is suited to a show like Bigg Boss. He explained that his personality is more aligned with calm and peaceful surroundings.

The musician said he is not someone who can shout or create unnecessary noise and described himself as a believer in calm music. He added that peaceful music has always been a source of inspiration for him.

His clarification came after his name had been circulating in discussions about possible contestants for Bigg Boss 20.

Batwara 1947 has had a disappointing run at the box office, and actor Shabana Azmi has now shared her thoughts on why the film may not have connected with audiences. According to Azmi, one possible reason could be the difficulty some viewers had in accepting Sunny Deol as a Muslim character.

The film, which also features Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, was released on August 14. It has reportedly earned around Rs 53 crore so far, while Awarapan 2, which released on the same day, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.

Azmi also suggested that there may have been confusion among some viewers about Sunny Deol’s character in Batwara 1947. She said that even some people who had watched the film believed Deol was playing a Pakistani character, whereas, according to her, he plays an Indian Muslim.
