Love trumps everything and apparently also helps in setting records, this was proven by a diver couple—South African Beth Neale and Canadian Miles Cloutier, —who made their Valentine’s Day extra special by sharing a record-setting underwater kiss lasting 4 minutes and 6 seconds beneath an infinity pool at a Maldives hotel.

The couple, who live in South Africa with their daughter, smashed the previous record of 3 minutes 24 seconds by nearly a minute. Guinness World Records said the previous record was set 13 years ago on the record keeper’s Italian TV show Lo Show dei Record.

A video captioned: “These lovebirds set a new underwater kiss record since their joint love was the ocean” was posted by the Guinness World Records on their official Twitter handle has been widely viewed and shared since it was shared.

According to an official release by Guinness World Records, the couple began their attempt at 7.30 am and did some breath hold warm-ups followed by two trial underwater kisses of two and three minutes each before they decided to have a go at the record.

The couple, who are underwater filmmaking enthusiasts, said that they came up with the idea of breaking the record three years ago, however, admittedly the actual effort was lot more challenging than Beth and Miles had anticipated.

Beth, who is a four-time South African Freedive Champion said that three days before the attempt she couldn’t even hold her breath, Miles added that their attempts were proving futile as they couldn’t even come close to the previous record.

He admitted that despite being professional, the effort was very difficult for them to perform.

Guinness World Records revealed that the couple had to fight the urge to swim to the surface and take a deep breath as carbon dioxide accumulated in their bodies underwater. But the couple managed to resist that instinctive urge by finding support in each other and went on to set the record.

Jolly LLB 3, starring Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar, is reportedly facing legal issues a few days after the shooting of the film started. Jolly LLB 3 is the target of a complaint alleging that she compromised the judiciary’s integrity.

The District Bar Association President Chandrabhan allegedly filed a complaint against the film starring Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar, according to an NBT report.

The case brought against the actors, director, and producer of Jolly LLB 3 is scheduled for hearing today, according to the report. Citing the mockery of the legal system in the first two parts of the film, Chandrabhan also asked for the film’s shooting to be stopped.

The Bar President had concerns about how judges and legal experts were portrayed in the movie. It doesn’t fit with real-world situations, he said. He claims that this kind of portrayal damages the reputation of attorneys and the judiciary. The Bar President emphasized that the goal of the complaint is to make sure that these concerns are considered by filmmakers while they are in production.

Chandrabhan Singh Rath reportedly stated, this decision has been taken after watching the first and second parts of Jolly LLB, in response to the complaint, according to NBT. It appears that the performers, directors, and filmmakers have absolutely no regard for the honour and dignity of the nation’s judiciary.

He went on, they will be shooting Jolly LLB 3 for a few days in the villages and surrounding areas of Ajmer, including the district magistrate’s office. The reputation, dignity, and respect of the judiciary—including judges—seem to have been completely disregarded, even during the film’s production.”

While Jolly LLB 3 was being shshot in Ajmer, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi recently posted a humorous video on social media. Akshay shared the video on social media and said, Yeh toh pata nahi ab original kaun aur duplicate kaun. However, this is going to be one good ride! Remain with us. Salutations to Mahakaal.

Preity Zinta praises Rohit Sharma, calls him powerhouse of talent

Published

on

Just over two weeks after Preity Zinta denied rumors that she wanted Rohit Sharma to lead the Punjab Kings, the owner of PBKS took to social media platform X to praise the former Mumbai Indians captain. Zinta answered questions from her fans and described Rohit as a powerhouse of talent, suggesting that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to nominate him as PBKS leader in the future.

However, for the Hitman, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 hasn’t gone as expected. The Mumbai Indians are virtually out of the playoff race, which means that Rohit’s squad will likely be eliminated early. This season, some MI players have failed, and even Rohit’s performances haven’t been enough to improve the team’s morale. Even though Rohit is clearly going through difficult circumstances, Bollywood actor and co-owner of the Punjab Kings Preity Zinta had nothing but love for him.

With just three wins in their last eleven matches, the Mumbai Indians are currently in the bottom of the points table and their only option is to move up the standings when they win against Sunrisers Hyderabad today.

Hardik Pandya’s team has lost eight of their 11 games this season, so far, making it seem nearly impossible for them to have things their way given how their campaign has started out. In the majority of their games, they have been unable to put up a cohesive performance and have lost games despite dominating one area of the game.

The Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are the other two of the original eight clubs that have never claimed an IPL championship, along with Zinta’s PBKS. In 16 years have PBKS made only twice to the Playoffs; their best performance came in 2015, when they were runner-up to Kolkata Knight Riders. Even though it can be excruciatingly difficult to wait for an elusive IPL victory, Zinta manages to remain positive.
