Veteran actor Neetu Kapoor celebrated her son and daughter-in-law’s significant win when Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt took home the Best Actor award at the 69th Filmfare Awards.

She celebrated the couple on Instagram, writing, she secretly prayed and wished a repeat of 2019 (Sanju Raazi) so happy it happened again! Congrats to you both, she added. Neetu Kapoor also said, she feels incredibly proud of this Animal Rocky Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

Ranbir won Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) at the 69th Filmfare Awards for his role in the action thriller Animal, and Alia won Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) for her role in the love romance Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Animal received nominations for 19 awards, including Best Actor, Best Film, and Best Director. Sandeep Reddy Vanga at the helm One of the biggest blockbusters of 2023 was Animal. But it was also attacked for what some saw as a misogynistic portrayal.

In the lead roles of the movie were Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Ranbir Kapoor. The movie’s post-credits scene, which hinted at a potential Animal Park sequel in which Ranbir would play two roles, thrilled a lot of fans.

Ranbir played Rannvijay Singh in Animal, which centres on a tumultuous father-son relationship. After his father is the target of an assassination attempt, Singh seeks retribution. At the box office, the movie brought in more than Rs 800 crore.

Directed by Karan Johar, Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani featured Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Ranveer Singh in the key parts.

The film is about a Bengali journalist named Rani Chatterjee (Alia Bhatt) and a Punjabi businessman named Rocky Randhawa (Ranveer), who fall in love in spite of their differences and parental disapproval. Before getting married, they agree to spend three months living with each other’s families.

The next film starring Alia and Ranbir is Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The teaser of Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana has been released, offering the first glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Rama. The film, which is planned as a two-part cinematic project, is scheduled for a Diwali release later this year.

The teaser shows several key moments, including scenes from the coronation and the exile period in the forest of Panchavati. Ranbir Kapoor appears in the role of Rama with a calm and composed presence. The teaser also briefly shows Yash in the role of Ravan towards the end.
