Ram Charan’s highly anticipated upcoming film now has an official title. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is called Peddi, and it is generating considerable buzz among fans and film enthusiasts alike.
In an exciting development, veteran actor Shivarajkumar is making a comeback to the silver screen in RC 16 alongside Ram Charan following his treatment for bladder cancer. This marks a significant moment in his career as he transitions back into the industry after his health scare.
Ram Charan took to social media to unveil the first-look poster of Peddi. The actor showcases an intense and rugged appearance, complete with unkempt hair and a thick beard, perfectly embodying the character he will portray in this sports drama. The film promises to delve into the world of sports, blending action and emotion in a narrative that is expected to resonate with audiences.
Peddi will feature a stellar cast, including Janhvi Kapoor, who will play a significant role alongside the veteran star Shivarajkumar. The film’s music will be composed by the acclaimed A R Rahman, adding to the excitement surrounding the film’s release. His musical prowess is anticipated to enhance the overall cinematic experience.
The production of Peddi officially began in Mysuru on November 22, 2024. The film is a collaborative effort among Mythri Movie Makers, Vriddhi Cinemas, and Sukumar Writings, bringing together a talented team dedicated to creating a compelling cinematic experience. Shivarajkumar’s return to work is particularly inspiring; he participated in a look test for the film after completing his recovery. Following a month-long recovery period in the United States, he returned to Bengaluru on January 27, 2025, ready to take on new challenges.
Apart from this, Ram Charan was last featured in S Shankar’s Game Changer, which also starred Kiara Advani and Sj Suryah. This social thriller aimed for pan-Indian appeal but, unfortunately did not meet expectations at the box office. With Peddi, fans are eager to see what innovative storytelling and performances await.
