A group of Muslim men, who were on their way to Ajmer from West Bengal, has been insulted by a Hindu right-wing at Delhi Lucknow National Highway in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur district.

The video of the incident is doing rounds on social media.

In the video, a group of Hindu right-wing activists can be seen threatening Muslims for offering namaz in an open area. They also asked Muslims to accept their crime and forced them to say sorry in front of the camera.

The right-wing members told the Muslims, who were going to Ajmer by bus, that they can not perform namaz on the roadside in Uttar Pradesh.

The right-wing activists can also be seen asking Muslims to sit down on the floor and hold their ears.

This comes after days after Moradabad police booked 26 Muslims for offering namaz in a house. Theses arrests come after a right-wing Hindu group Chandra Pal Singh complained about it.

After the arrest, the Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad Police had briefed the reporters they were praying without prior permission from local authorities and it was an unlawful assembly.

People objecting to namaz have made news in different places in recent months and the controversy started after the Muslims in Gurugram were stopped to offer Friday namaz at the site allocated for them

The administration stopped the name in several locations of Noida and Gurugram citing traffic obstructions but to counter this, Govardhan Puja was held some days later at the same place allocated for namaz.
