After The Vaccine War was out, today filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri revealed the title of his upcoming movie. The Kannada novel by S. L. Bhyrappa is adapted into a film called Parva: An epic narrative of dharma. A three-part franchise film will revolve around the story of Mahabharta.
Vivek Agnihotri shared the first poster on his X, formerly known as Twitter, account, writing, big announcement: Is Mahabharat history or mythology? He then thanked the writer of the film and also book’s author, as he said, we at @i_ambuddha are pleased to share PARVA –an epic tale of dharma, the modern classic written by Padma Bhushan Dr. SL Bhyrappa.
The film is produced by actor and Vivek’s wife Pallavi Joshi. The writer of the movie is Prakash Belawadi. Vivek also described his film and released a clip. In the video it can be seen that, as it begins Viveks puts a question and asks What is Parva? Watch. Soon after this, the noted director can be heard saying, it’s said that Mahabharat is the source of all stories.
He further explains it and says, Is it merely an Indian mythology or consciousness? Still, it is unclear if this is mythology or history. Padma Bhushan winner SL Bhyrappa wrote the modern classic Parva after conducting research for 17 years.
Vivek also said he refers to it as a masterpiece among masterpieces. Numerous languages, including English, Russian, Chinese, and Sanskrit, have translations of the text. In every language, it is a best-seller. That he has entrusted us with the task of bringing the tale to the big screen makes us proud and delighted. Parva: Three sections of an epic tale of dharma are in the works of production, he said.
Meanwhile, for his 2022 film The Kashmir Files, Vivek Agnihotri was honoured with the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film in the National Integration category. The Vaccine War was Vivek’s latest release. The movie, which starred Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, Raima Sen, Nana Patekar, and Sapthami Gowda, had a mediocre reception at the box office.
