The Indian Premier League 2022 is going to be the biggest cricketing event in India as the there will be an addition of two new teams in IPL 2022 and with the mega auction, it is only going to get bigger. Before the IPL 2022 mega auction which is supposed to take place in January 2022, teams have been given an option to retain a maximum of four best players of their team, and rest of the players will go directly to the mega auction.

IPL 2022 retention deadline

The deadline for the retention of players is November 30, before that, all teams have an uphill task to retain their best players to continue for the next season of the IPL. With only four players available to retain, the franchises have to make some tough decisions, meaning some of the big names and IPL legends from every team will be back in the auction pool.
