Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, Dhanashree Verma, surprised fans with their recent divorce announcement, joining a growing list of celebrity separations. While many speculated about the reasons behind this split, both Chahal and Verma maintained their silence amidst escalating rumours and controversy.

The situation took another twist when reports emerged suggesting that Dhanashree is seeking Rs 60 crore in alimony from Chahal. However, these claims have been deemed false and unfounded.

In lighter news, on February 14th, Dhanashree shared a workout video on social media, captioning it, “Aaj to cake Banta hai,” hinting at the importance of self-care during tough times. Despite her positive post, she has faced significant online backlash since the divorce news broke, with many harsh comments surfacing on her platforms.

Adding to the speculation, Dhanashree previously posted a picture with her mother from their new home, leading fans to believe she had moved out of Chahal’s residence. At the same time, rumours suggested that Chahal may have found a new romance with RJ Mahvash, who addressed the gossip on her Instagram stories.

Karun Nair says has not made any changes to anything after Ajit Agarkar’s statement over Champions Trophy snub

As for his next steps, Nair is determined to focus on his upcoming matches and aims for Ranji Trophy glory. “I’ve been maintaining the same batting approach for the last 16-18 months. The goal is to keep replicating my successful performances,” he remarked.

Karun Nair, the standout batter from Vidarbha, had a remarkable run in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he seemed to be in a league of his own, smashing centuries with ease. Reflecting on his success, Nair emphasized the importance of consistent effort: “I haven’t changed anything in my game. It’s the result of 3-4 years of hard work. Every day, I wake up with the sole aim of playing for my country. This achievement is rooted in my dedication over the years.”

During this premier 50-over tournament, Nair lit up the scoreboard with an astonishing 779 runs at an incredible average of 389.5. His impressive form sparked speculation among fans about a potential call-up for the forthcoming Champions Trophy. However, his hopes of representing India in the tournament, set to begin on February 19 in Karachi, didn’t materialize.

The decision to exclude Nair from the 15-member squad drew criticism from former cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Nikhil Chopra. In response to the outcry, chief selector Ajit Agarkar explained that the current squad’s depth makes it challenging for new players to break in. Nair has since acknowledged Agarkar’s transparent communication regarding the selection process. “It was refreshing to hear a clear message from the chairman of selectors. It helps players like me understand where we stand and what we need to work on,” Nair told RevSportz.

As for his next steps, Nair is determined to focus on his upcoming matches and aims for Ranji Trophy glory. “I’ve been maintaining the same batting approach for the last 16-18 months. The goal is to keep replicating my successful performances,” he remarked.

Agarkar also hinted at Nair’s potential inclusion in future discussions, should any players suffer injuries or fall out of form. “Finding a place in this squad is competitive, especially with players averaging over 40. But Nair’s continued excellence does keep him in the conversation,” Agarkar noted.

Currently, Nair is leading Vidarbha to the Ranji Trophy semi-finals, where they will face Mumbai starting February 17 at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur. Meanwhile, India’s Champions Trophy campaign kicks off against Bangladesh on February 20 in Dubai.

IPL 2025: Mujeeb Ur Rahman replaces injured Allah Ghazanfar in Mumbai Indians

The Mumbai Indians are hopeful that Mujeeb’s inclusion will strengthen their bowling lineup as they prepare for another competitive season.

The Mumbai Indians have signed Afghanistan’s talented spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman for the upcoming IPL 2025 season, stepping in for Allah Ghazanfar, who has been sidelined due to an injury. Ghazanfar, an off-spinner, unfortunately, cannot participate in this IPL season because of a serious injury he sustained.

Mujeeb, who burst onto the scene at a young age, made his mark as one of the youngest players to represent Afghanistan. He debuted in the IPL at just 17 years old and quickly established himself as a formidable bowler.

Over his T20 career spanning more than 300 matches, he has taken close to 330 wickets, maintaining an impressive economy rate of around 6.5 runs per over. In a statement, the Mumbai Indians expressed their support for Ghazanfar, wishing him a speedy recovery, and warmly welcomed Mujeeb to the team, referring to the franchise as the “#OneFamily.”

Mujeeb Ur Rahman is a right-arm off-spinner who has played 19 IPL matches and has claimed 19 wickets. This season marks his return to the IPL after missing the previous season due to an injury. Last year, he was replaced in the Kolkata Knight Riders by Ghazanfar, who has yet to make his IPL debut.

Ghazanfar, only 18 years old, was acquired by the Mumbai Indians for ₹4.8 crores during an intense bidding war with the Kolkata Knight Riders at the IPL 2025 mega auction held in November. Unfortunately, his participation has been hampered by a fracture in the L4 vertebra, which he sustained during Afghanistan’s recent tour of Zimbabwe. This injury not only rules him out of the IPL but also means he will miss the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.

The Mumbai Indians are hopeful that Mujeeb’s inclusion will strengthen their bowling lineup as they prepare for another competitive season.
