Mumbai police arrest Rakhi Sawant's husband Adil Durrani after actor files complaint of stealing her money, accuses him of hitting her

Rakhi Sawant’s husband, Adil Khan Durrani, has been arrested by the Oshiwara Police after she filed a complaint against him on Monday. The actor alleged him of stealing her money and jewellery worth Rs 4 lakhs

Police have filed an FIR against Adil Durrani under Sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The police have called him for questioning.

Rakhi has also accused Adil of being responsible for her mother’s death, who died on January 29 after a long battle with cancer. She alleged that Adil didn’t pay money on time for her mother’s surgery, even after she had given him a cheque for Rs 10 lakh before she left for Bigg Boss Marathi 4.

Speaking to the press outside the police station, Rakhi stated, Yeh koi natak nahi hai. Meri zindagi kharab ki hai issne. Mujhe mara hai, mera paisa loota hai Quran pe haath rakh ke bhi. Issne mere saath cheating kiya hai (This is not drama. He has ruined my life. He has beaten me up and stolen my money even as he put his hand on the Quran. He has cheated me). She said she had submitted all the proofs to find out the truth. She requested the media to support the truth.

Rakhi also claimed that Adil had come to her house to hit her. She told paps that he had come to meet her in the morning without saying anything and started coercing her. She said she had already filed a case against Adil twice but never mentioned it in front of the media. The police had also explained this to Adil at that time. During that time, a non-cognizable offense was written. It was converted into an FIR last night, she added.

Rakhi and Adil are now heading towards a legal battle. Rakhi told the paps that she is looking for a divorce. She said, she doesn’t want to make any kind of compromise with Adil now as she can’t live with a man who sleeps with so many girls. Adding further, Rakhi said she wanted him to apologize and leave Tanu (the girl who Adil allegedly cheated with) and come to her but that person is not loyal. So, she has decided to get a divorce now.

Adil and Rakhi got married at a secret wedding in 2022. It was only last month that their wedding came to the attention of the media. While Adil had initially called it false, he finally admitted that he and Rakhi had been married for some time.

Dhurandhar review: Ranveer Singh roars back, Akshaye Khanna shines in intense spy thriller

Ranveer Singh returns with a ferocious performance in Dhurandhar, supported by Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and a gripping espionage storyline set against real historical events.

Dhurandhar review

Ranveer Singh makes a striking return to the big screen with Dhurandhar, delivering a fierce, layered performance in Aditya Dhar’s ambitious spy thriller. Blending historical terror incidents with a fictional revenge saga, the film explores India’s covert response to cross-border terrorism through the secret project ‘Dhurandhar’.

A brutal world built around revenge and espionage

Set around the IC-814 Kandahar hijack and the 2001 Parliament attack, Dhurandhar opens with Ajay Sanyal, an Intelligence Bureau officer played by R Madhavan, who strongly opposes releasing captured terrorists. Despite his resistance, bureaucracy prevails, setting the stage for the covert mission he later leads.

The project introduces its central weapon — Humza Ali Mazari, later revealed to be Jaskirat Singh Rangil — portrayed by Ranveer Singh with ferocity and emotional depth. Dropped straight into Karachi’s dangerous Lyari district, Humza navigates a nexus of gangs, politicians, and the ISI, with the narrative also touching upon tensions between local Pakistanis and Baloch communities.

Performances that elevate the film

Akshaye Khanna nearly steals the spotlight as a feared Lyari gangster inspired by Rehman ‘Dakait’ Baloch. Sanjay Dutt’s portrayal of SP Chaudhry Aslam brings an intimidating presence, while Arjun Rampal’s Major Iqbal leaves a lingering impact despite limited screen time.

Sara Arjun plays Yalina with conviction, and the film also features an unrecognisable Gaurav Gera in a surprise appearance.

Music, violence, and a split narrative

Shashwat Sachdev’s background score stands out, weaving classic Pakistani melodies with Indian retro hits to complement the film’s shifting tones. Viewers should be prepared for intense brutality, graphic torture scenes, and sudden shifts in narrative style — especially in a second half that feels markedly different from the first.

The episodic structure, archival footage, and mix of real and fictional characters add layers, though some may find the format distracting.

Ending that sets up part two

While the film does not end on a dramatic cliffhanger, its teaser for the second part — scheduled for March 19, 2026 — ensures audiences will return to witness the conclusion of Humza’s journey.
