Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming film Brahmastra is making sound ever since the film release date was announced. The film is all set to hit the silver screen on September 9 and the makers are busy promoting the film across the country.

After promoting Brahmastra in Hyderabad, Ranbir and Alia, on Tuesday, jetted off to Rajasthan’s Ujjain to promote their film and seek blessings at Mahakal temple. However, the couple could not enter the temple due to massive protests by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal to boycott the film.

Pictures and videos of the protest are doing rounds on social media wherein activists slammed Ranbir Kapoor over his comment on beef and demanded Brahmastra’s boycott.

What did Ranbir Kapoor say about beef?

Ranbir Kapoor’s statement on beef dates back to 2011 while promoting his film Rockstar. During the promotions, Kapoor said that he is a mutton, paya, and beef fan as his family is from Peshawar and a lot of Peshawari food came with them.

The old video from 2011 resurfaced on social media ahead of Brahmastra’s release leading to protests by Bajrang Dal and VHP. Twitter on Wednesday got dominated by the tweets under #BeefGuyFromPeshawar and #BoycottBrahmastra wherein users slammed Ranbir for hurting religious sentiments.

Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra is the first Astra-verse film made in India. Apart from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, the long-awaited film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in titular roles. It is also said that Shah Rukh Khan will make a cameo role in Brahmastra.

It also marks the first film of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt together. The trailer of the film is out already and received rave reviews from both the fans and the audience. However, a section of social media is calling for its boycott for multiple reasons.

Vikrant Massey starrer 12th is scheduled to realse in China. Vikrant and Medha Shankr, who played the main lead in the film, are excited and looking forward to it.

During a recent interview, Vikrant said, it is too early to say that if he is going to China or not for film’s promotion. However, he said he is really excited that something like this has happened after a long time, but it is too early to talk about that.

Aamir Khan had earlier visited China to promote his movie Dangal and 3 Idiots, which was likewise quite successful film across the country.

Additionally, Vikrant said that the makers of 12th Fail had been preparing for its distribution in China for some time. He also said that the film will be released in China in more than 20,000 screens.

He said, after several months of development, the news has finally surfaced, and everyone is aware that the film will be released in China. In China, there is a great appetite for Hindi or Indian films. Over 20,000 screens are available for 12th Fail. The quantity of screens is a result of China’s strong entertainment industry, he said.

Meanwhile, last week, 12th Fail also accomplished an incredible feat. It is the first film in 23 years to have shown in theaters for a full 25 weeks. In the Indian film industry, this landmark is referred to as a silver jubilee and denotes remarkable public response and ongoing popularity.

In order to show his appreciation, Massey posted a unique poster on social media that marked the event. He captioned the images, first film in 23 years to achieve this milestone. He also added that they are grateful to the audiences for realizing their dream.

The film is based on the same-titled book published in 2019 that tells the story of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma’s early years and hardships.

The film Amar Singh Chamkila, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, is undoubtedly the talk of the town right now. In the comment section, Sahaj Chopra dropped smiling and fire emojis. However, a user said it was super creative for super film. Another said both the movie and the doodle are amazing. Others also gave a shout-out to the image.

Parineeti Chopra reshared the post on her Instagram story and added a kissing emoji as the caption. Meanwhile, fans have praised Parineeti for her performance in the film. The actor has played the role of Amar Singh Chamkila’s wife, Amarjot Kaur.

In the video, Pulkit could also be seen reading a message that resembled a vow to Kriti, who seemed overwhelmed by her partner’s kind gesture.
