Actor Richa Chadha on Saturday hit headlines but this time not for her upcoming films or scintillating pictures. Chadha trolled journalist and news anchor Deepak Chaurasia over his comments on historians like Romila Thapar, Ramchandra Guha, and others.

On Saturday, Chaurasia took to Twitter and called to remove the layers of Mughal buildings in India. He called historians like Irfan Habib, Romila Thapar, and Ramchandra Guha leftists and said they will be seen as bare due to their thinking. He further wrote those who wear the grab of truth to lie, their contribution to ruining the country can never be forgotten.

The actor then trolled Chaurasia and wrote that with no due respect, she has only seen him in viral memes, drunk on duty or in an astronaut outfit and he has the guts to question the expertise of world-renowned historians like Romila Thapar and Professor Habib. I want his confidence, Chadha concluded.

It was said that Chaurasia was drunk while reporting. Later, he issued an apology and said that he wasn’t drunk and was on the painkiller. He also said that it was his mistake that he had hosted the show after taking painkillers in large quantities.
