The sudden demise of the Indian singer KK passed away on May 31 due to a cardiac arrest. While fans were shocked, a Bengali singer Rupankar Bagchi released a video on his social media and raised questions about KK’s talent and asked who is KK.
This definitely irked KK fans following which Bagchi was ruthlessly trolled on social media. Now, the Bengali singer has issued an unconditional apology to KK’s family.
Speaking at a press meeting in Kolkata, Bagchi said that he has already deleted the Facebook post and apologised to KK’s family and to everyone else who he might have hurt with his statement.
During the press meeting, the singer also said that he had no animosity toward KK and that he only wanted to state that singers from the south and west of India receive more love and recognition as compared to Bengali singers.

“I am getting physical threats and even threats to my life on the social media over the phone and outside. There was nothing personal against KK, whom I didn’t know personally. I had only referred to his concert at Nazrul Manch on Monday and the frenzy among the audience,” Rupankar Bagchi said.
After the demise of KK, Rupankar Bagchi uploaded a video on Facebook and made controversial statements against the deceased singer. In his video, Bagchi had said after listening to KK songs, he realised that we all sing better than KK. So, what is the hype? We are better than any KK, Bagchi had said.
“Some of the singers I have mentioned are better than KK in any performance. Why is there so much excitement about Bombay? Look at South India, Punjab, Odisha, be a Bengali, please,” Bagchi had said in his Facebook Live.
