YouTuber Devraj Patel, dil se bura lagta hai fame, dies in a road accident in Raipur

The accused driver, who was involved in the accident, has been arrested and the truck has also been seized.

Devraj Patel, a famous YouTuber passed away at the age of 22 following a deadly accident in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. He was widely known for the ‘dil se bura lagta hai’ meme. Devraj Patel has 444K subscribers on YouTube. He died after he fell off his motorcycle when a truck brushed against it. 

According to reports, a police official asserted that Patel was riding a pillion when the accident occurred. It took place around 3:30 pm on Monday. The content creator was returning from Nava Raipur after filming a video for his channel ‘Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai’. The unfortunate incident took place in the Labhandi area under Telibandha police station limits. 

The police official affirmed that the accident took place near Labhandi area police station limits when the handle of the motorcycle hit the truck which was going in the same direction and Patel, who was riding pillion, came under the rear wheel of the heavy vehicle. Rakesh Manhar, the bike rider escaped unhurt in the accident. Following the accident, he called for an ambulance and the content creator was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead. Reports claim that the accused driver, who was involved in the accident, has been arrested and the truck has also been seized. The police are reportedly probing into the matter. 

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed grief over the unfortunate incident that led to an untimely death of the YouTuber. He tweeted that Devraj Patel, who made his place among crores of people with ‘dil se bura lagta hai’, who made us all laugh, left us today. He expressed that the loss of amazing talent at this young age is very sad. He prayed that God may give strength to his family and loved once to bear this loss. In 2021, Devraj Patel shot a video with CM Bhupesh Bhaghel. 

The content creator hailed from the Mahasamund district and was staying in a rented house in Raipur. He became an internet sensation after his video ‘dil se bura lagta hai’. He uploaded the video in August 2020. It was an instant hit that achieved more than 1.7 million views. He was also awarded YouTube Silver Play Button in March 2021. The young content creator also worked with famous YouTuber Bhuvan Bam in the comedy web series “Dhindora”.

Veteran actor Mushtaq Khan, who appeared in several Hindi films and was particularly remembered for his role in the 2007 comedy Welcome, has died at the age of 56.

Khan was known for playing supporting characters across Hindi cinema and had worked in films spanning several decades. His role as Balu in Welcome remains among his best-known performances.

Mushtaq Khan’s film career

Mushtaq Khan appeared in a wide range of films during his career. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Gopi Kishan, Krantiveer, Raja, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jodi No. 1 and Hera Pheri.

He also featured in more recent films including Stree 2, Gadar 2, Baby John, Dhoom Dhaam and Jaat. His filmography lists acting work continuing into 2026.

In Welcome, Khan played Balu, a supporting character in the comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and other prominent actors.

Khan’s career also included television work, with his credits spanning a wide range of acting roles over the years.

Mushtaq Khan dies at 56

The actor’s death was reported on September 24, 2026. Reports said Khan had been undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with liver cancer and had been hospitalised for around 15 days. Further details surrounding his death were awaited in the initial reports.

Mushtaq Khan was 56. IMDb lists his date of birth as December 31, 1969.

The newborn is the couple’s second daughter. Deepika and Ranveer became parents for the first time in September 2024, when they welcomed their daughter Dua.

The couple has not announced the name of their newborn daughter in the post.
