Born in Mumbai, Tarun Singh Rawat was always intrigued by the movie industry. When he acquired the chance to introduce rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat and his bravery to Bollywood, he made it a success. He presented the locals of Uttarakhand something no one had ever given

before- a Uttarakhandi hero in Bollywood movies. With his belief that storytelling is an art of building an entire world, he produced ‘72 Hours: Martyr Who Never Died’ which was released in 2019 across 800 theatres in India. This film divulges the fable of the brave rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat who fought approximately 300 Chinese soldiers during the Sino-Indian war in 1967. The film illustrates his story providing a more prominent insight into his personal life and his journey towards being a celebrated legend. The story is beautifully deciphered on the screen through the joint notion of Tarun Singh Rawat and Avinash Dhyani and was well-received by the audience securing a lasting impression in their hearts. “72: Hours was a dream project for me that laid the foundation of JSR Production House,” revealed Tarun Singh Rawat in a conversation regarding the film.

CAPTURING EVERY NUANCE OF THE HOSPITALITY SECTOR

Tarun Singh Rawat initiated his hospitality journey with a lounge launched to make the residents of Dehradun acquainted with the nightlife they get to witness in the metropolitans. He ruminates that this was his first shot at transforming the definition of hospitality by bringing something new to the platter for the residents of Uttarakhand. Reassessing its strategy, Tarun Singh Rawat along with his younger brother Prashil Rawat and his father, Mr. Jaswant Singh Rawat, after whom the conglomerate is named, decided to expand the business and amp up the plan into a

more lucrative venture. “Operation of the lounge taught me a lot and gave me a solid understanding of the Hospitality industry and its protocols,” Tarun Singh Rawat mentioned.

Hotel JSR Inn, a resort hotel on the outskirts of Dehradun was his next venture followed by Hotel JSR Continental forming the prestigious JSR Group of Hotels. Today, JSR Group of Hotels is a leading hospitality conglomerate in Uttarakhand that has seen rapid growth during the last decade. Tarun Singh Rawat is one of the responsible members for providing a face to the JSR Group of Hotels that exudes luxury and comfort. From Italian-style suits, and a 24*7 live kitchen to a music bar, this venture has proven to be a massive success due to the collective vision of the brothers. The opening of JSR Farms in 2013 proved to be quite prosperous.
