Vodafone partners with Flipkart to offer entry-level 4G smartphones at Rs 999

Months after partnering with Micromax and China’s Transsion Group-owned Intel Mobile, to make their entry-level options even more affordable, Vodafone on Wednesday tied up with Flipkart to introduce entry-level 4G smartphones to India at an effective price of Rs 999.

Available under Flipkart’s #MyFirst4GSmartphone campaign, the new Vodafone offer will be accessible for all existing and new Vodafone pre-paid subscribers. Adding more benefits for the customers, the telecom service provider will also be offering cashbacks, as a lucrative part of the new offer.

According to the new offer, Vodafone subscribers who purchase an eligible smartphone from e-retailer Flipkart will have to recharge their prepaid accounts with a minimum of Rs 150 per month for 36 months.

While at the end of the first 18 months, subscribers will receive a cashback of Rs 900, the cashback amount will rise to Rs 1100 at the end of 36 months – totaling the cashback amount to Rs 2000. Smartphone models which are eligible for the offer on purchase from Flipkart are from various brands like Micromax, iVoomi, Yu Televentures, Xolo, Intex, Swipe, and Alcatel – including models such as  Micromax Vdeo 2, Micromax Spark 4G, Xolo Era 3X, Xolo Era 1X Pro, Intex Aqua A4, and Intex Aqua 5.5 VR+.
