Infosys has introduced an open-source ‘Responsible AI’ toolkit to promote ethical AI adoption and mitigate associated risks. This move aligns with India’s ongoing efforts to ensure the responsible and secure deployment of artificial intelligence.
As part of the Infosys Topaz Responsible AI Suite, the toolkit provides businesses with advanced tools to combat AI-related risks such as:
- Privacy breaches
- Security vulnerabilities
- Bias in AI models
- Harmful or misleading content
- Copyright infringements
- Misinformation and deepfakes
With AI’s growing influence in enterprise growth, the initiative emphasizes fairness, explainability, and security in AI-based solutions.
One of the standout features of this toolkit is its ability to increase transparency in AI-generated decisions. It enables businesses to understand how AI systems make choices while maintaining high performance and a seamless user experience.
Being open-source, the toolkit is flexible, easy to integrate, and customizable to fit different AI models and business requirements. It also supports both cloud and on-premise deployments, ensuring a smooth adoption process across various organizational infrastructures.
Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary at MeitY, emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating that it will strengthen security, privacy, and fairness in AI solutions while helping mitigate bias in AI models.
Balakrishna D.R. (Bali), Executive Vice President at Infosys, highlighted that ethical AI adoption is no longer optional and that the toolkit ensures enterprises remain resilient and trustworthy.
Public policy experts also recognize the importance of open-source AI tools. Sunil Abraham, Public Policy Director for Data Economy and Emerging Tech at Meta, noted that open-source frameworks empower AI developers, fostering innovation while prioritizing safety and inclusivity.
With AI playing a pivotal role in business and governance, Infosys’ Responsible AI Toolkit is a crucial step toward building transparent, fair, and accountable AI-driven solutions.
