Kamada is one of the Hindu’s important festivals which falls on April 12, 2022. The Kamada Ekadashi is the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month, according to the Hindu calendar.

Devotees observe a fast on Kamada Ekadashi and they only open the fast once the sun rises on the next day. Those who fast on Kamada Ekadashi are bestowed with prosperity, and happiness and obtain the proper serenity of mind, and can sometimes achieve Moksha, according to the Hindu faith.

This holy festivity is today, April 12, this year. It is the first Ekadashi following the Hindu New Year. Devotees keep a fast on this day to show an ode to Lord Vishnu. The day occurs on the 11th lunar day of the fortnight of the waxing moon in the month of Chaitra, according to the Hindu Panchang.

Moreover, Kamada Ekadashi is also known as Chaitra Shukla Paksha Ekadashi. In the Hindu New Year, this festival is the first Ekadashi. Basically, Ekadashi means eleven. The eleventh day of two fortnights of the waxing and waning Moon, in the lunar month, is known as Ekadashi in Sanskrit. The Bhagwat Geeta describes Ekadashi as the day when Lord Krishna explained the significance of fasting on this auspicious day to Arjuna.

Parana Date and Time for Kamada Ekadashi

Kamada Ekadashi Parana’s start time is 1:39 pm and it will end on the next day, April 13, 2022, at 4:12 pm.

Parana Rules for Kamada Ekadashi

During the Ekadashi fast, devotees adhere to a set of regulations. Some devotees remain awake all night, while others sleep through the night and rise early, ideally during Brahma Muharat (two hours prior to the sunrise).

Look at the Parana Vidhi regulations:

In the morning, take a bath and put on clean clothes.
Do Meditation.
Light an oil lamp, a stick of incense, and a dhoop batti.
Chant the Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya mantra to invoke Lord Vishnu.
Offer fresh flowers, water, and bhog. You can also give the god merely water.
Offer Lord Vishnu your prayers.
Donate non-perishable food to those in need.
Only Sattvic food should be consumed at the above-mentioned hour to break the fast.

In a shocking incident, a French woman found herself naked in bed after her drink was spiked by a man who posed as a local guide in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi.

Reports say the woman tourist from France suffered serious stomach illness after her drink was spiked by a man before she was leaving for her home on Sunday. Following the incident, the woman filed an FIR under Section 328 (causing hurt by means of poison with intent to commit an offence) of the Indian Penal Code with the Bhelupur police.

In her complaint, the victim alleged that she fell unconscious after consuming the drink and found herself naked on her bed in the guest house room when she woke up the next morning. She also suffered serious stomach problems including loose motions, vomiting, and pain, reports said.

Reports further stated that the victim met the accused person during her stay in Varanasi and he took her to multiple places in the tourist city for sightseeing. On her last day in Varanasi, the accused took her to a restaurant and offered beer after mixing it with local alcohol. The victim also informed that she fell unconscious after consuming the beer and found herself undressed the next morning.

The local police have ordered a probe and the investigation is underway. The name of the accused has not been revealed by the police yet.

A similar incident took place in August 2022 wherein a woman was raped in Delhi after her friend mixed sedatives in her cold drink and shot the video of the incident. The accused also used the video to blackmail the victim for the next few months.

Reports said the victim met the accused Sameer through Instagram in 2018. The duo became friends and they met in a flat owned by the accused. Following this, he offered her a spiked cold drink and raped her. He later shot the video of the crime and blackmailed her into having a sexual relationship with him. The incident came to light in August this year.

A video of a Police commissioner continuously assaulting and abusing a man has been making rounds on the internet. The video shows the police personnel unloading slap after slap on the man while abusing him in UP’s Amroha district. The police personnel in the video was reportedly intoxicated when the event transpired.

In the video, a group of police officers can be seen confronting a man where the police are asking which staff he is from. The man can be heard replying that he is not from any staff. A man, who is not visible in the video, can be urging the man to apologize and move on. After having enough of the man’s banter, the deputy commissioner of police resorted to violence and abuse toward the man.

The Amroha Police Twitter account has come forward to clarify that the concerned Deputy Commissioner in the matter has been suspended with immediate effect. The police further added that a thorough investigation is being carried out by the jurisdictional line.

The video has been making rounds on the internet as many Twitter users came forward asking questions about the state of affairs in UP police. One user came forward and remarked that this is the UP police and no one dares to speak up against them while adding that if one does speak up, this is what is done to them.

Another user came forward and remarked that this is not a police officer but a street thug and added that the police personnel’s choice of words would also echo in his household, implying toward the arbitrary use of power by the inspector and also remarking on his uncivil tongue.

A video of a similar nature went viral from UP’s Baghpatt district recently where a man who had approached the police to file a missing complaint of his niece was slapped by a Binoli Police inspector. Subsequently, after the video went viral, the police personnel faced actions against him as a probe was ordered by the administration.

Bharti Satyagraha: Aspirants stage protests on roads in Madhya Pradesh

Thousands of government job aspirants have been staging protests since September 21 on the roads of Indore city in Madhya Pradesh. They have started an indefinite Bharti Satyagrah against the delayed recruitment of government jobs in the state. They were demanding time-bound completion of the state examination.

The protests were started by a youth organisation National Educated Youth Union (NEYU). Its president Manoj Singh said that they have staged one-day protests many times but this time they have made up their minds to fight either in or out. They have been waiting for the results of PSC and other exams of Vyapam since 2018.

Sharing the image of protesters on Twitter, a user wrote that the aspirants have been protesting at Deendayal Upadhyaya Park since September 21. The crowd of unemployed youths were staging protests on the streets of Indore. According to government data, Indore has 1.2 lakh registered unemployed youths. Most of which were Dalits.

One Antriksh Kumar Singh informed on Twitter that the aspirants were staging protests at Regal square demanding regular recruitment examinations in the state.

He also said that Water Resource Minister Tulsi Silawat avoided NEYU members at Deendayal park in Indore. The Minister seemed to forget BJP ideologue’s belief Har Haath ko kaam, har khet ko paani. He was caught threatening a police personnel a couple of weeks ago when he stopped him entering into IMC’s meeting post-election as per protocol.

Meanwhile, the Indore police have issued a show-cause notice to students for doing Bharti Satyagraha in Indore. Antriksh Kumar Singh wrote that these students did not have any relation with the NEYU organisation.

Another user wrote that in Madhya Pradesh, more than two lakh government posts were vacant in various departments, it was not known when the exercise to fill these vacancies would start.
