Kia all set to launch Sonet in CNG version, check expected price and specs



After updating one of its hot-selling vehicles Sonet in 2022, South Korean car manufacturer Kia is all set to introduce its compact SUV in the CNG version very soon in the country. The has already started the testing of the vehicle, which have been spotted in many district and cities.

Recently, a test mule has been spotted with a red number plate, where the CNG sticker and the CNG filler were visible just behind the fuel filler cap. Apart from this, a CNG plate on the C-pillar also has been spotted on the same vehicle, which gives a clear indication that the company could launch the Sonet CNG in the coming months. However, the company has not revealed any official details related to Kia Sonet’s CNG variant as of now.

What is the price of Sonet CNG version?

Interested customers might have to pay the extra amount of Rs 60,000 to Rs. 90,000 for the Kia Sonet CNG version.

The company is likely to launch the CNG variant with 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which generates produces 120 Ps of max power and 172 Nm of peak torque in petrol. But the customers might witness a fall in terms of power if they would go for the CNG version.

Meanwhile, the turbo petrol engine comes with only a 6-speed intelligent manual gearbox or a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. If the firm launches Sonet with the same transition, then it is also expected to come with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

What will be the changes in the Kia Sonet CNG version?

If rumored to be believed, the company will not make any changes cosmetic to the Sonet CNG. However, the customers can expect some minor changes from outside.

One of the leading car manufacturers Tata Motors has finally launched its much-awaited electric version of Tiago. The company has introduced the vehicle at the starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh. The newly launched Tiago EV model gets the blue finish from the front grille, covering the fog lamp housing. The hatchback also gets the blanked-off grille in gloss black under which customers gets the EV badging, tri-arrow pattern, and projector headlamps.

The vehicle comes with the features like sport mode, linked car technology, leatherette seats, fully automatic air conditioning, a cooled glove box, and i-TPMS. Fast charging technology, cruise control, multi-mode regen, and ZConnect capabilities are also included on the new Tata Tiago EV. The majority of the functionality are also present in the standard ICE model. It has voice commands, a height-adjustable driver seat, a rear defogger, a rear parking camera, a multi-functional steering wheel, electrically adjustable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and an eight-speaker Harman music system.

The new Tiago electric, which has a Ziptron powertrain, is built on the same architecture as the Tigor EV. It comes with two battery packs, rated at 24kWh and 19.2kWh.

Initially, the company claimed a range of 315km. Later denied and it is will give a range 250km. Talking about the power, the long-range version generates 115Nm of torque and 55kW or 74bhp of power. The limited-range version offers 105Nm of torque and 45kW or 60bhp of power.

Interested customers can book the vehicle from the company’s authorized showroom or from the official website of Maruti Suzuki by giving a token amount of Rs 11,000.

A sibling newly launched Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Grand Vitara not only features hybrid powertrains but also comes with a 4WD system which might attract more customers to this feature-loaded SUV.

Talking about the engine specification, the Grand Vitara features a 1.5-liter K15C petrol mild-hybrid engine, which provides 103hp. It comes with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter under an automatic gearbox. As we have mentioned above, same like Hyryder, customers also get the all-wheel drive option only in the top-end variant.

The company claims that the vehicle will provide fuel efficiency of 21.11kpl for the manual variants, 20.58kpl for the automatics, and 19.38kpl for the manual AWD variant.

If rumors are to be believed, after launching the updated version, the firm is likely to replace the current Vitara model in the international markets. Talking about the style and features, the Grand Vitara is expected to come with a new dual-tone front design that will feature a honeycomb grille and split LED headlamp setup with dual LED DRLs.

Talking about the styling front look, the Grand Vitara shares some similarities with Suzuki S-Cross which is sold in over the seas. The front fascia comes with a large chrome-lined hexagonal grille with a three-point LED DRLs setup. It also features a Maruti Suzuki logo in chrome on the front grills. A healthy dose of cladding was also spotted on the sides which overall enhanced the look of the car.

One of the centers of attraction in the car, which is likely to increase the sale of this beast is its wide panoramic sunroof and advanced touchscreen infotainment system that supports android, Apple and auto carPlay.

Kawasaki launches W175 in India, know price, specs and features

The leading Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki finally launched the much-awaited motorcycle W175 in India. As per the official information, the firm has debuted the bike at the starting price of Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom).

As per the official information, the firm has debuted the bike at the starting price of Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested customers can now book the vehicle from the company’s authorised store. The delivery will start from December onwards.

The company has introduced the vehicle in two colours – The Ebony (Black) which comes at the price tag of Rs Rs 1.47 lakh, and other Candy Persimmon Red that comes at the starting price of Rs 1.49 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). To note, Candy Persimmon Red colour falls under the category of limited edition, and features a 3D crowned ‘W’ emblem on its fuel tank.

The bike manufacturer has launched the bike with a tubular semi-double-cradle frame setup, which gives the customers a proper retro-style riding experience. Talking more about the frame, it is suspended by a telescopic fork at the front and it features twin shock absorbers at the back which makes it tougher off-road.

According to Kawasaki, it claims that the newly launched W175’s suspension has been specially designed for Indian roads only.

As far as safety is concerned, the W175 comes with a single 270mm disc at the front while it features sports a drum brake at the back (which seems like a big cost-cutting considering the price tag). The vehicle also gets 17-inch spoked wheels at both the front and the rear.

Talking about the features, it looks like the newly launched Kawasaki W175 has taken some inspiration and its larger sibling, the W800. The retro-style bike sports a round headlamp at the front. On top, it features a simple semi-digital instrument cluster, which provides important information such as fuel capacity, speed, and RPM among others. The instrument cluster is also surrounded by six tell-tale lights that include high beams, lights for neutral, turn indications and battery warnings.
