LPG cylinder price slashed by Rs 135, check rates of 19 kg and 14 kg cylinders in Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and other cities

LPG cylinder prices have been reduced and it has come as a relief for people, check the price list here.

People can have a sigh of much-needed relief as the price of 19 kg commercial cylinders have been slashed by Rs 135 per cylinder by the oil marketing companies (OMC) on Wednesday. The new prices come into effect immediately from June 1.

Earlier, in May, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder was increased by Rs 100. We have mentioned the list of LPG cylinder prices in different cities, check the rates here.

LPG cylinder price Delhi

The price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder will now be Rs 2,219 as against the earlier price of Rs 2,354 in Delhi.

In Kolkata, the commercial LPG cylinder will be priced at Rs 2,322 instead of Rs 2,454 in Kolkata. In Mumbai, the 19kg cylinder will be priced at Rs 2,171.50 instead of Rs 2,306 in Mumbai. Whereas, in Chennai, it will be priced at Rs 2,373 instead of Rs 2,507.

There were reports that the oil marketing companies were likely to announce a price revision in LPG prices from June 1. International oil prices have been on the rise and the impact of that was seen in both petrol, diesel, ATF and LPG prices. Earlier, it was expected that the LPG prices may also be hiked from June 1 but on the contrary, the price was slashed and it came as good news for people.

Notably, there will be yet another price change in LPG rates as OMCs announce LPG price changes twice a month, once at the beginning of the month and once during the middle of the month.

In other news, Afghanistan star all-rounder Rashid Khan, who was part of IPL 2022 winner Gujarat Titans squad has named a batter whom he finds difficult to bowl. Luckily, the batter is from his own team Gujarat Titans. The batter is Shubman Gill, who hit the winning six as GT beat Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022 final to chase down a modest target of 131 in 18.1 overs.

Indore girl shot dead in firing at Garba Pandal, killer not identified yet

It remained a challenge for the police to find out the killer and reason behind the firing at Garba pandal in Indore

An 11-year-old girl, who had gone to see Garba celebrations with her mother on Tuesday night, was shot dead by an unidentified killer in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district. The girl had died due to severe bullet injuries to her head.

The incident is from the Hiranagar police station area of Indore.

Mahi Santosh Shinde, a girl studying in class six, had gone to the nearby locality to enjoy Garba with her mother last night.

After firing at Garba pandal, the minor girl’s mother immediately reached home with the child. From home, the girl was brought to the nearest Barod hospital, from where she was referred to Rajshree Apollo Hospital where he was declared dead during treatment.

A sound was heard before the accident, but it was not known that the bullet had been fired, she also said.

In a video shared by Nai Duniya on Twitter, the minor girl’s father can be seen explaining about the last night’s firing incident in the neighbouring locality.

Talking to the reporters, her father Santosh Shinde said a sound was heard when her daughter was sitting next to her seat at the Garba pandal. When his wife checked out then she find a huge amount of blooding from her daughter’s head, he said.

Hiranagar police said that the body of the minor girl has been sent to MY Hospital for post-mortem. A bullet-shaped object is visible in her head in the CT scan of the girl’s head. The reality will be known only after the post-mortem report comes.

The investigation is underway to identify the killer, who has not been identified yet. However, it remained a challenge for the police to find out from where the bullet was fired and who fired it.

VIRAL: UP girls fight each other for leaking nude photos | WATCH

Many people are seen present at the spot but none of them tries to intervene them.

Videos of catfight are ubiquitous on the social media and reason behind them mostly is feud over their boyfriend. But in yet another video that went viral on social media, two girls are fighting as one of them alleges the other of leaking her nude photographs.

Where the video was shot and who these girls are, the details are yet to be ascertained, however, the comments pouring on the viral video has left the internet laughing.

In the viral video, it can be seen that the two girls had already fought earlier and round two of the battle was about to begin.

When the man who is recording the video asks the girls the reason behind their fight, one of them levels allegations against the other of sending her nude photographs to some boy. To which the second girl, who is seen wearing a mask, can be heard denying the allegations.

The first girl is then heard saying that she even had a proof of the same but before she could establish how her nude pictures got leaked, the second bout begins. Out of anger, with her mobile phone in one hand, she slaps the masked girl with other and then start throwing punches at her.

Now, it is the turn of the second girl, who still was using her mobile phone with both hands, to fight. So, she hands over her mobile phone to some person and start punching and pulling hair of the other girl.

The two girls are then heard hurling abuses and doing character assasination of each other.

Many people are seen present at the spot but none of them tries to intervene them.

The video ends with both of them making a phone call, asserting that they will lodge complaints.

What happened next is not known but the twitter users made the best out of the situation as the comment section was full of banters.

Nobel Prize 2022: The winners in Medicine, Physics and Chemistry

The Nobel Prize 2022 is going to get more media coverage because two Indians are on the top list of the Nobel Peace Prize. According to TIME magazine, the Co-founders of the fact-checking news portal AltNews, Mohammed Zubair and Pratik Sinha, are among the favourites contenders to win the 2022 Peace Prize.

The Nobel Prize has been announced for the three categories-Medicine of physiology, Physics and Chemistry. A Swedish geneticist Svante Paobo won the Nobel Prize in medicine for his discoveries concerning the genomes of extinct hominins and human evolution. He has created a new field of ancient DNA studies and also identified populations at higher risk of disease. In 1999, he founded the Max Plank Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany where he is still active.

The Nobel committee announced Nobel Prize in Physics for three scientists-Alain Aspect, John F Clauser and Anton Zeilinger. They all worked in the field of quantum technology.

According to the Nobel committee, the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded for experiments with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bell inequalities and pioneering quantum information science.

It said that the 2022 NobelPrize laureates in physics have conducted groundbreaking experiments using entangled quantum states, where two particles behave like a single unit even when they are separated. The results have cleared the way for new technology based upon quantum information.

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been shared by Carolyn R Bertozzi, Morten Medal and K. Barry Sharpless for the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry.


Barry Sharpless has just become the fifth individual to be awarded two Nobel Prizes. Earlier, he was awarded the chemistry prize in 2001. He follows in the footsteps of double Nobel Prize laureates John Bardeen, Marie Skłodowska Curie, Linus Pauling and Frederick Sanger.
