Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while delivering a speech at Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center campus in Bengaluru, playfully remarked in Hindi Mukhyamantriji, Aisa Hota Rehta Hai as the crowd started chanting Modi, Modi.
PM Modi on Friday, was in the capital of Karnataka, Bengaluru to inaugurate the new Boeing India Engineering & Technology Centre (BIETC) campus. The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah also attended the event.
As per the data, the project has been built with an investment of Rs 1,600 crores. With a 43-acre campus, this is Boeing’s largest such investment outside the USA.
While addressing the crowd at the event of the new Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center campus, PM Modi said Bengaluru is a city that connects aspirations with innovation and achievement. Bengaluru connects India’s technological capability with global demand, he added. This new Boeing campus strengthens the identity of Bengaluru. It will be Boeing’s largest facility outside the United States, PM Modi further said.
The Prime Minister said that this campus strengthens the world’s faith in Indian talent. One day India will design aircraft of the future at this facility, he said.
PM Narendra Modi also spoke about India’s aviation market and said it has completely transformed in the last 10 years. Today every aviation stakeholder is filled with new energy and India has become the third largest domestic aviation market in the world, PM Modi added.
Asserting that, he said the number of domestic passengers will increase further in the coming years and in view of this growing demand, our airlines have placed orders for many new aircraft.
Meanwhile, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah addressed the event too, he said as we witnessed the launch of two important Boeing initiatives by the Prime Minister, this occasion adds yet another feather to the illustrious cap of Karnataka, further to that, a state that has consistently stood at the forefront of technological advancement in India.
The CM further said that Karnataka proudly holds the title of being the fourth largest technology cluster globally, ranking first in the India Innovation Index and leading in total exports among all Indian states, CM Siddaramaiah said at the inauguration event of the new Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center campus in Bengaluru.
