Modi addressed the Indian diaspora at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Oman’s capital Muscat and attended a meeting with Omani CEOs at the India-Oman business meet. He visited the Shiva temple in Muscat and the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque .

Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is the biggest mosque in Oman. Indian investments are estimated at USD 1.8 billion in two projects in Special Economic Zone in Duqm (SEZD).

Before arriving in Muscat, Prime Minister had officially launched the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the first Hindu temple in of the UAE capital Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

PM Modi met Sayyid Fahad bin Mahmood Al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers of Oman. The two leaders discussed strengthening of bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest.

PM Modi also met Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister of Oman for International Relations, Affairs and Cooperation in Muscat.

This was the first prime ministerial visit to Oman in 10 years since the visit of then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in 2008.

Prime Minister travelled to Jordan, Palestine, UAE and Oman in four days. Modi is the first Indian PM visiting Palestine without landing in Tel Aviv. After meeting King Abdullah II of Jordan Prime Minister travelled to Ramallah, Palestine by Royal Jordanian helicopter escorted by Israeli security helicopters, where he held working lunch meeting with President Mehmoud Abbas.

His UAE visit was marked by high level discussions with its rulers, laid foundation stone of first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi and participation as Guest of Honour in world Government Summit held in Dubai.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

In the aftermath of the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead a series of crucial meetings tomorrow to review India’s security preparedness.

The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), the nation’s apex body for national security decisions, is scheduled to convene around 11 am. This will be the second high-level review since the tragic incident in Jammu and Kashmir.

Following the CCS meeting, the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA), chaired by the Prime Minister, will also gather to discuss political and strategic issues. Senior leaders, including Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Health Minister JP Nadda, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, will participate in the deliberations.

Later, the Cabinet’s Economic Affairs Committee will meet, culminating in a full cabinet session.

During the previous CCS meeting, held two days after the attack, the government placed security forces across the country on heightened alert and vowed strict action against those responsible. Measures taken included suspending the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan, halting SAARC visas, closing the Wagah-Attari border, and downgrading diplomatic ties with Islamabad.

Additionally, Pakistani nationals residing in India were asked to return to their country, with a slight extension given to those holding medical visas until Tuesday. In retaliation, Pakistan announced the suspension of all bilateral agreements with India, including the historic Simla Agreement.
